SWEET SLOW COOKER SESAME CHICKEN RECIPE
A healthier version of your favorite take-out dish that the kids will LOVE. This Sweet Slow Cooker Sesame Chicken Recipe will be an instant family favorite!

Steps:
- Start by seasoning chicken lightly with salt and pepper and place into crock pot.
- In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, onion, ketchup, oil, garlic and pepper flakes.
- Pour over chicken.
- Cook on LOW for 4 hours or on HIGH 2 hours,
- or just until chicken is cooked through.
- Remove chicken from crock pot with a slotted spoon, leaving sauce behind.
- Dissolve 2 teaspoons of cornstarch in 3 tablespoons of water and pour into crock pot.
- Stir to combine with sauce. Replace lid and cook sauce on HIGH for ten more minutes until the sauce has thickened.
- Shred chicken with two forks and then return to pot and toss with sauce before serving.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve over rice, quinoa, noodles or MY favorite, spinach!

CROCKPOT SESAME CHICKEN RECIPE
This Crockpot Sesame Chicken is a more flavorful, health-i-fied version of a take-out classic! One of my go-to throw and go, quick and easy recipes!

Steps:
- Grease your crockpot with cooking spray.
- Whisk together sauce ingredients: broth, rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey, ketchup, garlic, red pepper flakes, ginger, and pepper.
- Pour half the sauce into crockpot.
- Place chicken into crockpot.
- Pour the rest of the sauce over the chicken.
- Place the lid on and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours.
- Remove chicken from crockpot and set aside.
- Whisk the cornstarch into the sauce until well combined.
- Place chicken back into crockpot and cover.
- Cook for an additional 30 mins on HIGH (if you cooked on HIGH before) or 1 hour on HIGH (if you cooked on low before).
- Remove chicken, cut into chunks, then stir back into sauce.
- Serve with your choice of rice and additional toppings and enjoy!

- Spray 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Place chicken in slow cooker. In medium microwavable bowl, mix onion, sesame oil, garlic chili sauce, tomato paste and gingerroot. Microwave uncovered on High 4 to 5 minutes; stirring occasionally, until onions are softened. Stir in honey and soy sauce.
- Pour sauce over chicken in slow cooker. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 4 to 6 hours or until chicken is tender and cooked through. Dissolve cornstarch in 2 tablespoons water. Remove chicken to cutting board. Stir cornstarch mixture into sauce in slow cooker. Increase heat setting to High; cover. Cook 5 to 10 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Shred or cut chicken into bite-size pieces. When sauce is slightly thickened, return chicken to slow cooker, and stir into sauce. Serve over rice. Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seed.

- Spread chicken into the crock of a slow cooker.
- Stir honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced onion, vegetable oil, and garlic powder together in a bowl; pour over the chicken.
- Cook on Low until the chicken is tender, 3 to 4 hours.
- Remove chicken from the sauce in the slow cooker to a cutting board. Stir water and cornstarch together to dissolve cornstarch completely; pour into the sauce in the slow cooker until smooth.
- Cook on High until slightly thickened, about 10 minutes.
- Cut chicken into bite-size pieces and stir into the sauce. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the chicken and sauce mixture.

- Spray 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In medium bowl, mix 1/4 cup chicken broth, the honey, 2 tablespoons of the soy sauce, the rice vinegar, sesame oil, gingerroot, garlic and red pepper. Add chicken and mix to coat; transfer to slow cooker.
- Cover; cook on Low heat setting 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until chicken is no longer pink. In small bowl, mix cornstarch and remaining 2 tablespoons chicken broth; stir into slow cooker. Cover; cook on High heat setting 15 to 20 minutes or until bubbly around edges and starting to thicken.
- Add remaining 2 tablespoons soy sauce and the broccoli to slow cooker, mixing to coat broccoli with sauce mixture; cover and continue cooking 10 to 15 minutes or until broccoli is crisp-tender. Stir in cashews. Before serving, sprinkle with sesame seed, and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve with cooked white rice.
