HEARTY GROUND BEEF AND RICE CASSEROLE RECIPE

- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. While your oven warms up, grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Heat up oil over a large skillet then add & saute onions briefly.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and saute for roughly 7 minutes until the beef is well browned. Drain any excess oil.
- Lower the heat to medium then mix in the rice, tomato sauce, broth, one cup of cheese, & garlic powder.
- Stir the ingredients until they are well blended and simmer them for 3 minutes.
- Season with salt & pepper to taste and adjust accordingly.
- Transfer the mixture onto the prepared baking dish and bake it in the oven for 15 minutes.
- While waiting for the casserole to finish baking, combine the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and sour cream in a small mixing bowl.
- After 15 minutes, spread the cheese mixture over the casserole and bake it for an additional 15 minutes.
- Once your casserole is done baking, allow it to cool briefly then serve it with roughly 1 tablespoon mixed vegetables.

- Brown beef, onion and garlic until no pink remains. Drain any fat.
- Combine beef mixture with all remaining ingredients except cheese.
- Spread mixture into a 9x13 pan and bake covered for 40-45 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Add cheese, broil for 3 mins or until golden.
