SPICY SAUSAGE MEATBALL SAUCE
I threw together three favorite veggies and spicy sausage for this incredible sauce that makes our mouths water the whole time it's cooking. Besides serving this with pasta (refrigerated tortellini is best), we've had it with brown basmati rice, as "sloppy subs" on toasted Italian rolls and as a "stew" with garlic bread. -Ann Sheehy, Lawrence, Massachusetts

These good-tasting sausage meatballs disappear before anything else on the table or buffet. They have a delightful tang with a bit of crunch from the water chestnuts. I've used the recipe for over 20 years because it's so easy to do and comes out perfect every time. -Claire Stryker, Boulder City, Nevada

SAUSAGE BALLS
These classic Southern hors d'oeuvres, made with only three ingredients, taste just as good with beer as they do with bourbon. And they come together in about 20 minutes from start to finish.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 400 degrees. Combine ingredients in a bowl and mix with your hands until there are no dry crumbs. Form into balls about one inch in diameter and place on a baking sheet. If you have the time, the sausage balls hold their shape better if refrigerated overnight before baking. (They also freeze extremely well. Bake them straight out of the freezer, adding a few more minutes to the baking time.)
- Bake until the balls are golden brown, about 8 to 10 minutes. Serve immediately.

This is seriously a no-brainer! It is so delish! Great as an appetizer, breakfast item, or brunch dish! I also will freeze these in a large ziplock, pulling them out for a breakfast on the go. They just take a minute or so in the microwave if they're frozen!

SPICY HOT SAUSAGE BALLS
Can't remember where I got this. But it's a really fun and easy recipe, a great appetizer for most any occasion. It is important you use packaged sausage and not meat counter sausage (I used Jimmy Dean brand) because the consistency is not the same.
