- Position an oven rack to the center of the oven and another in the top third of the oven (about 6-inches from the broiler) and preheat to 375 degrees F. Lightly butter 6 6-ounce ramekins.
- Stir together the oats, flour, brown sugar, walnuts and salt in a medium bowl. Work the butter into the oat mixture with your fingertips until it is in even pea-size pieces. Evenly divide the apples among the ramekins and top with the oat mixture.
- Transfer the ramekins to a baking sheet and bake on the middle oven rack until the fruit bubbles around the sides and the tops are golden, 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from the oven.
- Turn the oven to broil, put the baking sheet with the ramekins on the top oven rack and broil until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Let cool about 15 minutes before serving. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

- Preheat the oven at 180°C (350˚F).
- Prepare the toffee by gently heating the brown sugar and butter together over a low heat in a saucepan.
- Once bubbling, stir in the apple slices for a few minutes and take off the heat just as they start to soften.
- Lay out half of the apple slices in a oven-proof dish and then throw the bread chunks on top.
- Lay the rest of the apple slices on top and set the remaining toffee mixture aside.
- In a jug, mix together the cream, milk, and eggs. Pour all over the apple slices and bread.
- Bake for 1 hour.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 7x11 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine bread, raisins, and apples. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup brown sugar, 1 3/4 cups milk, and 1/4 cup margarine. Cook and stir until margarine is melted. Pour over bread mixture in bowl.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and eggs. Pour bread mixture into prepared dish, and pour egg mixture over bread.
- Bake in preheated oven 40 to 50 minutes, or until center is set and apples are tender.
- While pudding is baking, mix together sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup milk, and 1/2 cup margarine in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat, and stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla. Serve over bread pudding.

- Combine the heavy cream, 3/4 cup milk, the black sesame paste and black sesame powder in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is steaming. Meanwhile, whisk the remaining 1/4 cup milk, the egg yolks, granulated sugar, brown sugar and salt in a medium bowl until smooth.
- Ladle half of the hot cream mixture into the egg mixture, whisking, then pour this mixture into the saucepan with the remaining cream mixture, whisking. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly with a rubber spatula, until the mixture thickens slightly and coats the back of a spoon, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and strain through a fine-mesh sieve set over a bowl. Let cool, stirring occasionally, then cover and refrigerate until very cold, at least 4 hours.
- Churn in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's directions until the consistency of soft serve. Transfer to a freezer-safe container, cover and freeze until firm, at least 4 hours.
