Kumquat Champagne Cocktails Recipes

KUMQUAT & THYME COCKTAIL

Steps:

• Muddle kumquats, thyme, and honey in a cocktail shaker until bruised and juices release, about 30 seconds.
• Add vodka, fill with ice and shake until thoroughly chilled. Stir in ginger beer until chilled. Strain cocktail into a champagne flute and garnish with thyme sprigs and kumquats.

CLASSIC CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL WITH A CITRUS TWIST

Steps:

• In a champagne flute or coupe drop in 1 sugar cube and add a dash of citrus bitters right on top of the cube.
• Pour in the lime juice and orange juice and allow the sugar to dissolve a bit.
• Top with Champagne.

KUMQUAT CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL RECIPE

Steps:

• In a small bowl muddle the first three ingredients together with the back of a spoon.
• Let sit for 10 minutes.
• Strain liquid through a fine mesh strainer.
• Pour two tablespoons of kumquat liqueur into champagne flutes and top with champagne.
• Garnish with sliced kumquats.

GOLDEN CRUSH

Steps:

• Add kumquats, a pinch of Maldon Salt, and Gray Whale Gin to small shaking tin and muddle, releasing the oils from the kumquat skin and pressing out the juice. If kumquats are not available, use 1 small mandarin, or 1-2 key limes, or 1/2 a Meyer lemon or even 2-3 calamansi--any type of floral citrus that isn't too sour or too sweet will work nicely.
• Once muddled, add .75 oz Champagne Cordial and .5 oz Champagne Vinegar, and fill shaker with ice. Shake hard for about 10 seconds then strain into a rocks glass.
• Add ice and garnish with a slice of Kumquat (or whatever citrus you used) and some rosemary sprigs. Be sure to smack the rosemary on the side of the glass to release the beautiful fragrance! Edible flowers optional. Enjoy!
• *To make Champagne Cordial: Combine equal parts champagne and sugar in a saucepan and heat over medium-low until incorporated. Allow to chill before use. Can be stored for up to 1 month in the fridge. Fresh or flat champagne, prosecco, or any other sparkling wine work equally well!

KUMQUAT-CHAMPAGNE COCKTAILS

Steps:

• Place kumquats in a largesaucepan. Cover with cold water.Bring to a boil. Drain immediately.Repeat twice.
• Add sugar and 2 cups water to drained kumquats in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat immediately, and let kumquats and syrup cool completely.
• Spoon 3 kumquats and 1 tablespoon syrup into each of 12 Champagne glasses. Top off with Champagne, and garnish with tangerine wedges.

KUMQUAT-CHAMPAGNE COCKTAILS

Steps:

• 1. Place kumquats in a large saucepan. Cover with cold water. Bring to a boil. Drain immediately. Repeat twice.
• 2. Add sugar and 2 C water drained kumquats in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat immediately, and let kumquats and syrup cool completely.
• 3. Spoon 3 kumquats and 1 T syrup in each champagne glass. Top of with Champagne, and garnish with tangerine wedges.

KUMQUAT CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL

Steps:

• Using back of large spoon, mash first 3 ingredients in bowl. Let stand 5 minutes. Strain mixture through fine sieve set over bowl, pressing on solids.
• Pour 2 tablespoons kumquat syrup into each of four 6-ounce Champagne flutes. Fill each with 2/3 cup Champagne.

GIN AND KUMQUAT COCKTAIL

Steps:

• Rinse, dry, and halve the kumquats. Distribute evenly into 2 glasses with the cane sugar, and lime juice.
• Crush with a bar mudder and mix. Add the gin and the crushed ice, stir, and serve with a straw.
