A custard type pudding using any type of cake. It can be as plain or as fancy as you want...just add nuts, raisins, or coconut, and top with whipped cream.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups cake crumbs
2 large eggs, slightly beaten
2 cups hot milk
4 -6 teaspoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup raisins or 1/2 cup walnuts

Steps:

Pour hot milk mixed with sugar, salt, and vanilla slowly into eggs whisking all the while.
Then pour over crumbs and pour into dish.
Place dish in a pan of hot water.
Bake 350 for 40 min or until knife inserted comes out clean.
Serve hot or cold with cream.

Ingredients

1 sara lee frozen pound cake (thawed)
1 (12 ounce) container Cool Whip
1 (6 ounce) box instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup miniature milk chocolate chips

Steps:

make the pudding according to the directions on the box.
cut the pound cake up into small cubes and put into a bowl or serving platter or cake pan.
pour pudding over cubbed pound cake.
put the cool whip on top of the pudding. sprinkle the mini chocolate chips over the cool whip.
refrigerate for an hour, serve!

Cake Pops. Cake pops can be made using any kind of cake and frosting you might have leftover, provided the flavors work together, of course. I don’t think chocolate cake would work too well with lemon frosting.
Chocolate Cake Shake. I really enjoy a bit of texture in my milkshakes. Cookies and cream are a great example of that almost grainy texture from the blended Oreos.
