Orange Ginger Homemade Cranberry Sauce image

This orange ginger homemade cranberry sauce is naturally sweetened and will be your new favorite way to enjoy cranberry sauce. Vegan, paleo and ready in 7 minutes.

2.5 cup fresh cranberries
1/4 cup water
1/2 orange juiced (zest the entire orange)
1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
2 packet stevia
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Steps:

  • Heat a medium sauce pan over medium high heat. Add fresh cranberries and water. Cover and cook 4 minutes. The cranberries should be starting to burst and break down.
  • Stir the cranberries. Zest the entire orange and add the juice from half the orange. Add the remaining ingredients.
  • Allow to cook 2-3 additional minutes, stirring often to help break up the cranberries.
  • Let cool and enjoy!

2 (12 ounce) packages fresh cranberries
2 ½ cups white sugar
1 large orange, zested and juiced
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root

Steps:

  • Combine cranberries, sugar, orange zest and juice in a large pot and heat over medium heat. Cook and stir occasionally until berries pop, about 20 minutes. Let cool until thickened.

16 ounces fresh cranberries, picked over and rinsed
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
Finely grated zest from 1 orange

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all of the ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the berries pop open, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • 2. Skim foam off the surface with a metal spoon and discard. Cool to room temperature. Refrigerate, covered, for up to 3 months.
