2 sheets ready-rolled puff pastry
1 egg, lightly beaten
100 g (3 1/2 oz) ham, thinly sliced
150 g (5 1/2 oz) tinned crushed pineapple, well drained
40 g (1 1/2 oz/1/3 cup) grated cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F/Gas 4). Lightly grease two large baking trays. 2. Lay out the pastry sheets. Brush with the beaten egg. 3. Sprinkle with the ham, pineapple and cheese. 4. Roll each sheet up firmly and evenly. Using a sharp serrated knife, cut each roll into 12 rounds. 5. Place the wheels on the baking trays. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden and puffed. Serve warm or hot.

8 ounces cream cheese, softened
½ cup finely diced ham
½ cup crushed pineapple drained very well*
1 scallion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon spicy mustard
1 clove garlic, minced
1 crescent roll dough sheet
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside. In a medium-sized bowl mix together the cream cheese, ham, pineapple, scallion, mustard, and garlic until combined. Set aside.
  • Roll out the crescent roll dough on a clean work surface. Have the longer edge facing you. Smear the cream cheese mixture all over the dough, leaving a ¾ inch border of dough with no mixture. Starting at the long edge facing you, tightly roll the crescent roll dough over the mixture forming a log, pinch the seam together. As evenly as you can, cut into 12 even slices.
  • Place the slices, barely touching onto the sheet tray. I did 4 rows of 3 rolls. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with more sliced scallions and parsley, optional.

This is my mom's recipe and it's always a hit at parties and get-togethers. Even the kids love will love these pinwheels!

1 (8 ounce) brick cream cheese (softened)
16 ounces sour cream
1 (1 ounce) packet packet Hidden Valley Ranch dip (dry)
1 lb deli ham, sliced thin but not shaved (not honey ham!)
1 (14 ounce) package azteca flour tortillas (8 large ones per pack, in the refrigerator section)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, sour cream and dry ranch dip mix.
  • Beat until no lumps remain.
  • Put a very thin layer of the cheese mixture on a tortilla, being sure not to go all the way to the edge.
  • Place slices of ham on top (I always put one piece in the middle and then cut other pieces to fit around the edges), again being careful not to go all the way to the edge.
  • Start tightly rolling the tortilla. Try to keep everything inside so the cheese mixture and ham don't come out.
  • Roll up tightly in plastic wrap and place in the fridge or freezer.
  • Repeat steps 3 through 7 until you run out of ingredients.
  • When you're ready to serve, cut the long rolls into small, round pinwheels. I was able to get 8 good pinwheels per long roll (the endpieces are fine to nibble on but they don't make a pretty presentation). If you freeze the rolls for a little while rather than refrigerate them, it makes cutting easier and presentation nicer. I didn't freeze the ones in my picture, so they were messy and misshapen but still very yummy! ENJOY!

1/4 pound sliced Genoa salami
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
7 slices deli ham
14 to 21 okra pickles or dill pickle spears

Steps:

  • In a food processor, add the cream cheese, salami and horseradish; cover and process until blended. Spread over ham slices. , Remove stems and ends of okra pickles. Place 2 or 3 okra pickles or 1 dill pickle down the center of each ham slice. Roll up tightly and cover. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Cut into 1-in. pieces.

20 oz can crushed pineapple (drained)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup diced ham

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Roll out dough with rolling pin on a floured surface. Pinch perforated edges together.
  • Sprinkle cheese on top.
  • Add ham to the cheese.
  • Darin pineapple with a sieve and sprinkle on top of the ham.
  • Roll the dough up tightly from left to right so that you have a short log form.
  • Cut into 7-8 equal pieces and place face up in a greased pie pan.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until the edges and top are browned.

1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
8 ounces ham steaks, small diced
1/4 cup cream cheese, spreadable light type
2 tablespoons sour cream (I used no fat)
1 teaspoon grainy mustard
2 tablespoons swiss cheese, grated
1 tablespoon dill pickle relish
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce, your favourite

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375f degrees.
  • Unroll crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface; pinch together perferations.
  • Roll dough to about 12 x 12 inch square.
  • Stir together the rest of the ingredients until well blended, taste and add more mustard and hot sauce if desired.
  • Spread filling mixture over the rolled out dough, leaving half an inch clear on all sides. Roll dough with filling, jelly roll style, tucking in sides and sealing the end with a little water.
  • Chill in frige for about 15 minutes.
  • Cut into half inch slices, thicker if you wish. Place an inch apart on a veggie sprayed non stick baking sheet. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until golden.
  • Best served warm.
