Time 1h45m

Yield 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1/3 cup clover honey
3 heaping tablespoons Dijon mustard
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 racks St. Louis Style/Country Style pork ribs (12 ribs each)
4 tablespoons canola oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 cup soy sauce
4 cups water
2 to 3-inch piece ginger, skin on and sliced

Steps:

  • Combine the vinegar and brown sugar in a small saucepan over high heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved and mixture reduces slightly, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and whisk in the honey and mustard and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Let cool to room temperature.
  • Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F.
  • Brush the pork racks on both sides with canola oil and season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  • In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the soy sauce, 4 cups of water and the ginger and bring to a boil. • Remove the ribs from the oven and transfer to baking sheets lined with foil or parchment paper. Turn on the broiler and let heat for 3 to 5 minutes. Brush the ribs heavily on the top side with some of the glaze, put under the broiler and broil until golden brown and a crust has formed. HONEY,GARLIC & GINGER RIBS

Honey,Garlic & Ginger Ribs image

Love BBQ pork ribs but you want something different? This recipe is for you

Provided by joblogs

Time 15m

Yield Serves 6

Number Of Ingredients 0

Steps:

  • In a small glass bowl or resealable glass jar mix all the marinade ingredients well.
  • Let sit to allow the flavors to blend while you prepare the ribs in step 2
  • With the back of a teaspoon begin lifting the membrane on the back of the ribs near a bone.
  • When you get enough of the membrane (also called 'silverskin') pryed up from the back of the ribs grasp it with a paper towel and peel it off the ribs.
  • This membrane should always be removed, if it's left on it can cause the ribs to curl when they're cooking and they'll also be a bit tougher to chew when left on.
  • Cut the two rib racks in half so you've 4 pieces.
  • Place the ribs meat side up (bone side down) in a glass dish.
  • Evenly distribute the marinade over the top of the ribs and rub to completely cover all the pieces.
  • Pierce the meat with a fork all over after you've spread on the marinade - this will help the flavor penetrate the meat.
  • Cover the ribs and refrigerate overnight.
  • Oil the grates of the BBQ and preheat to 400F - 450F.
  • When the grill is ready place the ribs meat side down (bone side up) and close the lid.
  • Let the ribs brown up and give them the charred grill marks - usually about 7 or 8 minutes should do.
  • Flip the ribs over (bone side down) and close the lid.
  • Reduce the temperature to 350F.
  • Let the ribs cook for 30 - 40 minutes and check on them.
  • The meat should be shrinking back from the bone 1/4" or so.
  • Keep checking on the ribs, you don't want them overcooked or they'll dry out.
  • Depending on the size of ribs you're using really determines how long to cook them. The bigger and meatier they are the longer they'll take.
  • Remove the bbq pork ribs from the grill and place on a cutting board.
  • Cut the ribs into individual pieces between the bones.
  • Its easier if you do this bone side up so you can see where to cut.
  • Serve this as is or with the bbq pork ribs dipping sauce described above.

HONEY ROASTED RIBS RECIPE - (4.4/5)

Honey Roasted Ribs Recipe - (4.4/5) image

Provided by Foodiewife

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 (2 1/2- to 3-pound) racks baby back ribs, trimmed, membranes removed, each rack cut into 3 equal pieces
1 cup honey
5 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
4 scallions, white parts minced, green parts sliced thin
4 garlic cloves, crushed
Kosher salt and pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (can bump this up, if you like more heat)

Steps:

  • Divide ribs between two 1-gallon zipper-lock bags. Whisk honey, soy sauce, vinegar, mustard, scallion whites, garlic, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon pepper, and cayenne together in bowl. Divide marinade between bags, seal, and turn to coat ribs evenly with marinade. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours, turning bags occasionally. Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 325 degrees. Line rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and set wire rack in sheet. Add enough warm tap water to cover entire bottom of sheet (about 2 cups). Transfer ribs, meaty side up, to prepared wire rack; reserve marinade in refrigerator. Tent ribs loosely with foil and bake for 1¼ hours. Uncover ribs and continue cooking until just tender, about 1 hour longer. Bring reserved marinade to boil in Dutch oven over medium-high heat and cook until thickened to glaze consistency, about 5 minutes. Brush ribs with 1/3 cup glaze, return to oven, and continue to cook until glaze begins to bubble and ribs are brown, 15 to 30 minutes. Transfer ribs to cutting board (leave hot water and sheet in oven to cool), tent loosely with foil, and let rest for 10 minutes. Cut ribs between bones, add to Dutch oven, and toss to coat with remaining glaze. Transfer to platter and sprinkle with scallion greens and ½ teaspoon salt. Serve.

2 ½ lb rack of pork ribs, halved

HONEY SOY GRILLED ROAST

Honey Soy Grilled Roast image

The marinade and glaze complement the flavors of pork, chicken and beef. Tasty on pork ribs, too! I've been using this recipe with success for over 30 years, and we never tire of it! Yummmmm! It will have a nice crust with a tender inside. I always cook mine medium rare, and would not recommend cooking this roast to well done. It was shared my friend Beth. Prep time does not include marinating in the refrigerator.

Provided by BeachGirl

Categories     Roast Beef

Time 45m

Yield 1 roast

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 lbs beef roast (I use chuck, sirloin tip, shoulder, eye of round, etc.)
2 cloves garlic, mashed
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup chicken bouillon
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup catsup
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup honey
1/2-1 teaspoon dry mustard

Steps:

  • Place roast in resealable plastic bag.
  • Mix all marinade ingredients and pour over meat, seal bag, and refrigerate 6-8 hours or overnight, turning bag times.
  • To grill, cook over HIGH heat for 25-45 minutes, turning often to prevent burning.
  • ***Timewill depend upon how hot the grill is and how rare or well-done you like your meat.
  • ***While grilling, baste roast often with the marinade.
  • Remove meat from grill and place on platter.
  • Pour Glaze over roast and spread to cover.
  • (I often double the Glaze because we like it so much).
  • Slice roast across the grain into very thin slices and lay them in the juices on the platter. Medium rare roasts will be more tender than those cooked longer.
  • NOTE: You can use any weight roast, but the thickness should be between 2-1/2 to 3 inches for the roast to be medium rare if cooked 35 minutes.
  • Add 8-10 minutes to cooking time for each additional 1/2-inch increase in thickness.
  • VARIATION FOR RIB: Use marinade for spareribs.
  • Bake in 450 degree oven about 10 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to 350 degrees and cook for another hour or until done.
  • If desired, after cooking in the oven, remove ribs, and place on a HOT outdoor grill for 10 minutes to brown the ribs.
  • Place ribs on platter and pour Glaze over.
