This creamy cheesy slow cooker chicken cordon bleu is an absolute delight. It has a delicious creamy sauce, swiss cheese, ham and a tasty bread stuffing topping.

420 g (14.8 oz) can cream of chicken soup
½ cup milk
½ tsp garlic, crushed
1 kg (2.2 lb) chicken breasts
250 g (8.8 oz) ham slices
200 g (7.1 oz) Swiss cheese slices
200 g (7.1 oz) dry bread stuffing
60 g (2.1 oz) unsalted butter, cubed

Steps:

  • In a jug, combine the milk, cream of chicken, and garlic.
  • Pour 1/4 of the cream of chicken mixture into the slow cooker.
  • Layer half of the ham over the top of the cream of chicken.
  • Add the chicken breasts.
  • Top with the remaining ham and the swiss cheese.
  • Pour the rest of the cream of chicken mixture over the top.
  • Top with the stuffing mix and scatter the butter over the top.
  • Cook on low for 6 hours.
  • Serve & Enjoy.

6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 cup milk
4 ounces sliced ham
4 ounces sliced Swiss cheese
1 (8 ounce) package herbed dry bread stuffing mix
¼ cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Mix together the cream of chicken soup and milk in a small bowl. Pour enough of the soup into a slow cooker to cover the bottom. Layer chicken breasts over the sauce. Cover with slices of ham and then Swiss cheese. Pour the remaining soup over the layers, stirring a little to distribute between layers. Sprinkle the stuffing on top, and drizzle butter over stuffing. Cover, and cook on Low for 4 to 6 hours, or 2 to 3 hours on High.

2 cans (18.5 oz each) Progresso™ Traditional roasted potato garlic chowder or Progresso™ Rich & Hearty chicken corn chowder
1 cup cubed cooked chicken
1 cup diced cooked ham
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (4 oz)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives

Steps:

  • In 3-quart saucepan, hHeat chowder, chicken and ham over medium-high heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Slowly stir in cheese. Cook about 2 minutes longer, stirring frequently, until cheese is melted. Serve topped with chives.

Aquired this through a recipe swap and love that it doesn't use canned soup like the others I've seen. Prep the chicken bundles the night before and you'll be out the door in no time in the morning.

Number Of Ingredients 10

6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
salt, pepper, garlic powder
6 slices ham
6 slices swiss cheese
6 slices bacon
1 cup water, divided
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granule
1 cup white wine
2 teaspoons cornstarch
cooked rice

Steps:

  • Place chicken breasts between 2 sheets of plastic wrap. Flatten to ¼" thickness. Season with a pinch each salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Fold cheese so it is about ½" narrower than ham. Place cheese on ham and fold in each of the long sides and then roll from one short end, burrito-style. This will help prevent the cheese from running out during the cooking process. Place one ham roll on a narrow end of each piece chicken and roll into a bundle.
  • Wrap a piece of bacon lengthwise around each chicken bundle and secure with a toothpick. Ensure the bacon tightly covers the ends of the bundle as it will also help prevent leaky cheese. Place the bundles into slow cooker.
  • Combine ½ cup water, bouillon and wine. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook 5-6 hours on LOW.
  • Just before serving, remove chicken from slow cooker. If needed, strain cooking liquid and return to slow cooker. Switch heat to HIGH. Combine cornstarch with remaining ½ cup water. Stir ½ cup of slow cooker liquid into the cornstarch mixture to temper and then add that back to slow cooker. Stir well until sauce thickens.
  • Serve chicken and sauce over rice.

1 yellow onion (diced)
2 pounds boneless (skinless chicken thighs)
8 ounces diced ham
8 ounces fresh baby spinach (chopped)
6 cups chicken broth
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon dried thyme
⅓ cup half-and-half
2 cups croutons
6 ounces grated swiss cheese

Steps:

  • Chop onion, ham, spinach, and garlic, and transfer to a large resealable bag or container.
  • Add to the bag the chicken, dried thyme, and chicken broth (or use stock cubes or condensed chicken base- make sure to label how much water to add on cooking day!)
  • Bag croutons and grated swiss separately, if desired. (They'll freeze great!)
  • Add all soup ingredients except for half-and-half, croutons, and swiss cheese, to Instant Pot and secure the lid.
  • If using frozen ingredients: Cook on High Pressure for 40 minutes with a Quick Pressure Release.
  • If using thawed ingredients: Cook on High Pressure for 20 minutes, with a Quick PRessure Release.
  • Use 2 forks to shred the chicken.
  • Stir in the half-and-half.
  • Serve hot, topped with croutons and grated swiss cheese.
  • Add all ingredients except for half-and-half, croutons, and swiss cheese, to the slow cooker and secure the lid.
  • Cook on low for 6 hours, high for 3.
  • Once the vegetables are soft and the chicken is falling apart tender, use 2 forks to shred the chicken.
  • Stir in the half-and-half.
  • Serve hot, topped with croutons and grated swiss cheese.
  • Add all ingredients, except for half-and-half, croutons, and grated swiss cheese, to a large pot.
  • Bring to a boil, covered, over high heat.
  • Remove the lid and turn down to a simmer.
  • Cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 1-2 hours or until the chicken is falling apart tender.
  • Use 2 forks to shred in the soup.
  • Stir in the half-and-half.

3 thin slices (3/4 oz each) deli ham, cut in half
3 slices (1 oz each) Swiss cheese, cut in half
1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of celery soup
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
1 teaspoon marinade for chicken (white Worcestershire sauce) or regular Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Spray 3- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Between pieces of plastic wrap or waxed paper, place each chicken breast smooth side down; beginning in center of breast, gently pound with flat side of meat mallet or rolling pin until about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Place 1/2 ham slice and 1/2 cheese slice on each breast. Roll up, folding in sides. Place rolls, seam sides down, in single layer in slow cooker. In medium bowl, mix remaining ingredients; spoon over chicken.
  • Cover; cook on Low heat setting 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours 30 minutes.
  • Remove rolls from cooker to cutting board. Beat sauce in cooker with wire whisk until smooth. Spoon about 1/3 cup sauce onto each of 6 plates. Cut each roll crosswise into thin slices; arrange on sauce.
