1 (12 ounce) package egg noodles
1 cup ketchup
½ cup water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
¼ cup lemon juice
¼ cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 (16 ounce) package hot dogs

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente; drain.
  • Spread cooked noodles in a 9x13 inch pan. Arrange hot dogs over noodles. In a medium bowl, mix together ketchup, water, oil, lemon juice, onion, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar; pour over noodles and hot dogs.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes.

1 (32 ounce) package frozen bite-size potato nuggets (such as Tater Tots®)
4 slices bacon
2 tablespoons butter
1 shallot, minced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups whole milk
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 pinch nutmeg
1 ½ cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, divided
3 green onions, sliced
2 tablespoons sour cream, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Arrange potato nuggets in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until lightly golden, 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels and chop coarsely.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; add shallot and cook until fragrant. Stir in flour and cook until light golden, about 2 minutes. Whisk in milk and 2 tablespoons sour cream; stir until smooth and thick, about 5 minutes. Season with black pepper and nutmeg. Stir in 1 cup Cheddar cheese until fully melted.
  • Transfer potatoes to a 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle bacon on top. Pour cheese sauce over the potatoes. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven just until cheese melts, about 7 minutes. Remove from the oven; top with green onions and 2 tablespoons sour cream.

12 slices center-cut bacon, cut in half crosswise
24 frozen bite-sized potato nuggets (such as Tater Tots®), partially defrosted
4 slices sharp Cheddar cheese, each cut into 6 small pieces
24 dashes hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's RedHot®), or to taste
24 toothpicks

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Lay each slice of bacon onto a work surface and place a potato nugget in the center of each bacon slice. Cut a slit down the center of each potato nugget and place a Cheddar cheese piece into the slit. Top each nugget with a dash of hot sauce. Wrap bacon around each filled potato nugget and secure the bacon to the nugget with a toothpick. Transfer the wrapped nuggets to the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until nuggets are cooked through and bacon is crispy, 15 to 20 minutes.

1 1/4 cups water or stock
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
1 (6-ounce) package Kellogg's® seasoned stuffing mix
10 franks
5 slices process cheese or American cheese, cut in half
aluminum foil

Steps:

  • 1. Place water, margarine and onion in large saucepan. Bring to boil. Remove from heat. Add KELLOGG'S Stuffing Mix all at one time. Toss lightly until evenly and thoroughly moistened.2. Cut frankfurters lengthwise, almost in half. Place 2 frankfurters side by side on square of aluminum foil. Shape about 1/2 cup stuffing mix to fit into each cut frankfurter. Seal edges of foil tightly and place on baking sheet, sealed edges up.3. Bake at 350°F about 30 minutes. Open foil packets and place 1/2 slice cheese on stuffing mix of each frankfurter. Return open packets to oven. Bake 2 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

This is an "Oak-ie" dish my Mom made often when I was a kid. A heart attack waiting to happen...maybe, but so good that it's my birthday dinner every year with corn on the cob! Goo-ey, cheesy goodness. Enjoy!

6 russet potatoes
2 tablespoons margarine
1/2 cup milk
1/2 small onion, chopped
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
12 all beef wieners
12 slices bacon

Steps:

  • Boil potatoes for mashed.
  • Add margarine and milk and mash potatoes. Sometimes it takes less milk, not sure why, but don't let your potatoes get too loose.
  • Add onion and cheese to mashed potatoes.
  • Slice franks lengthwise almost in half and spread them open.
  • Cover each frank with small dollops of mashed potatoes.
  • Wrap each stuffed frank in a bacon slice.
  • Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes until bacon is done.

1 (10 1/4 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 (2 7/8 ounce) can French-fried onions
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. In large bowl, combine potatoes, soup, 1/2 cup cheese, the sour cream, 1/2 can onions and the seasonings.
  • 2. Spread potatoe mixture in a 8x12-inch baking dish. Split hot dogs lengthwise almost into halves but not all the way through. Arrange hot dogs, split side up, along center of casserole.
  • 3. Bake, covered, at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until heated through. Fill hot dogs with remaining cheese and onions, bake uncovered 1 to 3 minutes or until onions are golden brown.

12 frankfurters, Deli Style
1/2 cup sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon mustard, Prepared
3/4 lb medium sharp cheddar
12 slices bacon
12 hot dog buns, Buttered & Toasted

Steps:

  • Slit the frankfurters almost through lengthwise.
  • Mix the pickle relish and prepared mustard together.
  • Cut the cheddar cheese into 12 4 1/2 by 1/2-inch strips.
  • Put one strip of cheddar cheese and about 2 tsps of the relish mixture into each frankfurter and set aside.
  • Panbroil the bacon until partially cooked and still limp and drain.
  • Starting at one end, securing the bacon with a wooden pick, wrap each frankfurter and secure the other end with a wooden pick also.
  • Set the oven temperature to broil and arrange the bacon wrapped frankfurters on the broiler rack with the tops 3-inches below the heat source and broil until the bacon in cooked, turning once.
  • Serve hot in the buns.

1 pound hot dogs, halved lengthwise and cut into bite-size pieces

1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
