The hollow columnand the netting of the sphere work together, keepingthe sphere at the top of the arrangement and preventsthe round ball of foam from sliding down the clear column. b. Cover the standing pole with curly willow and securewith OASIS Bind Wire, which is covered with paper and blends well with the willow brances. c. Arrange flowers in the netted ball, including a small nest made of OASIS Rustic Wire. d. Always finish with Floralife® Finishing Touch® Spray tokeep arrangements fresh.

HARVEST TOPIARY

Steps:

• Cut 2 pieces of florist foam into 2 1/2-by-3-inch cubes. Place 1 inside each terra-cotta pot. Mix the dried wheat and rye and divide into 2 bunches 3 to 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Wrap and secure each one with wire about halfway down the sheath, and again about 1 inch from the bottom. Hold a bunch securely and press firmly into the florist foam, making sure it is straight vertically. Fill the pot with mixed nuts, mounding them at the center. Cut the ribbon in half, making two 18-inch long pieces. Wrap each ribbon around a bunch several times, covering the wire, and tie with a bow.

TRUFFLE TOPIARY

Steps:

• In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 package of chocolate chips. Add 3/4 cup condensed milk; mix well. Stir in orange extract. Cover and chill until firm enough to shape, about 45 minutes. Repeat 2 more times with remaining chips and milk, adding peppermint extract to 1 portion and almond extract to the other., Shaping truffles: Shape chilled mixture into 1-in. balls; place on 3 separate waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Chill 1-2 hours or until firm. , Melt white candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl. Dip orange-flavored balls in coating and return to waxed paper to harden.
