Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Slice the baguette diagonally into 1/4-inch slices. You should have 20 to 25 slices. Place the slices in 1 layer on a baking sheet. Brush each slice with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Bake the toasts for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are crisp and browned. Serve at room temperature.
TOASTED BAGUETTE WITH TOMATOES AND ANCHOVIES

Steps:
- Using coarse grater held over medium bowl, grate tomatoes down to skin. Discard skin. Add 1/3 cup olive oil and garlic to grated tomatoes. Season mixture to taste with salt and pepper. (Tomatoes can be prepared 2 hours ahead. Let stand at room temperature.)
- Place toast pieces on platter. Drizzle with additional oil. Place anchovies in small bowl. Serve toast, passing tomatoes and anchovies alongside.
OVEN ROASTED TOMATOES WITH GARLIC AND ANCHOVIES
This is a wonderful flavorful easy side dish to serve to guests for a dinner party. You can use any amount of garlic desired, since my family is garlic-lovers I have even gone so far as to use a whole bulb (about 10-12 cloves). Make certain to use only firm plum tomatoes only for this, regular tomatoes will not work and will become watery. If you find that your tomatoes are very juicy, I would suggest to remove just a small amount of the pulp and seeds from the inside with a small spoon from the tomatoes before roasting, although it is really not necessary.

Steps:
- Set oven to 400�°F.
- Grease a 13x9-inch baking dish.
- Slice the tomatoes in half lengthwise and then cut each half into three wedges, then arrange the tomatoes in a single layer in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle with chopped anchovies, parsley, chopped or sliced garlic, crushed red pepper flakes (if using) salt and pepper.
- Drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake the tomatoes uncovered until tender, wrinkled and starting to brown around the edges (this should take about 40-50 minutes).
- Serve with more olive oil on the side.
TOMATO AND ANCHOVY PASTA RECIPE BY TASTY
Here's what you need: unsalted butter, anchovies, panko breadcrumbs, freshly grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, cherry tomato, kosher salt, white wine, spaghetti, lemon zest

Steps:
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 4 of the chopped anchovy filets and cook for 1 minute, until they begin to melt.
- Add the panko bread crumbs and cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently, until golden brown. Transfer the bread crumbs to a medium bowl and let cool to room temperature. Once cooled, toss with the Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.
- Heat ¼ cup (60 ml) of olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Once the oil begins to shimmer, add the remaining 6 anchovies and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the anchovies begin to melt into the oil.
- Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Add the tomatoes and stir to coat in the oil. Season with 1 teaspoon of salt and cook for 5 minutes, or until the tomatoes just begin to soften.
- Add the white wine and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes, or until the sauce is reduced by half.
- Add cooked pasta and reserved cooking water to the pot with the tomatoes and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute, until the pasta is well coated and saucy. Drizzle with the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and season with salt. Toss to coat.
- Serve the pasta topped with the anchovy bread crumbs and lemon zest

ROASTED CABBAGE WITH PARMESAN, WALNUTS AND ANCHOVIES
Roasting cabbage wedges at high heat makes them crisp at the edges and tender in the middle. Here, the lacy crevices between the leaves are stuffed with a piquant mix of anchovies, walnuts and Parmesan, giving the sections crunch and a deep savory flavor. Steps:
- Heat oven to 450 degrees. Cut the cabbage in quarters lengthwise through the core, then cut out the cores and stem. Slice the quarters lengthwise into 1 1/2-inch-thick wedges.
- Place wedges on a rimmed sheet pan, flat sides down. It's OK if the pan seems a bit crowded; the wedges will shrink as they roast, but try not to overlap them if possible. Lightly drizzle them with oil and season with salt.
- In a small bowl, combine Parmesan, anchovies, garlic, thyme and black pepper. Stir in 1/2 cup oil to make a loose paste. Massage paste into each cabbage wedge, stuffing the mixture in between the leaves.
- Lightly drizzle cabbage with a little more oil. Roast until cabbage is lightly browned in spots, 25 to 30 minutes.
- Remove pan from oven and sprinkle walnuts all over the top of the cabbage. Roast for another 5 minutes or so, until cabbage is tender and caramelized and the walnuts are golden and toasted.
- Sprinkle cabbage with dill and more Parmesan and black pepper, if you'd like. Serve immediately.
