Tuna On Toast Recipes

CREAMED TUNA ON TOAST

Steps:

• Thaw frozen peas in a collendar.
• Melt the margarine in a saucepan.
• Add the flour and blend.
• Add the milk, stirring constantly to prevent clumping and stir until creamy.
• Add the tuna, peas, salt and pepper and warm through.
• As the tuna is warming, toast bread.
• After toasted, cut in triangles and spoon tuna mixture over the toast.

CHEESY TUNA MELTS

Steps:

• Preheat the grill on its highest setting. Drain the tuna, flake it into a bowl and mix with the spring onions and mayonnaise. Season with salt and plenty of freshly ground black pepper.
• Toast the bread under the grill until it's nicely browned on both sides, then spread the tuna mixture on top, right up to the edges of the toast. Scatter over the cheese and put back under the grill until the cheese is bubbling.
• Slice in half, sprinkle with paprika and tuck in.

TUNA ON TOAST

Steps:

• 1. melt 1/2 c butter in saucepan slowly add flour to form a paste
• 2. next add milk a little at a time until you achieve the thickened sauce for the tuna.
• 3. add tuna, salt, pepper Simmer for 5 minutes.
• 4. Make your buttered toast, spoon on tuna sauce and enjoy.

TUNA ON TOAST

Steps:

• Heat oil in a medium pan over low heat. Cook onion until golden brown, about 30 minutes. (Add 1 to 2 tablespoons water if onions stick.) Add 1/4 teaspoon sea salt; set aside. Place a grater over a bowl. Rub cut surfaces of tomatoes across grater. Discard skins. Add remaining ¼ tsp salt. Spread grated tomato over toasts (about 1 teaspoon per toast). Top with onion and tuna. Garnish with chives.

CREAMED TUNA ON TOAST

Steps:

• 1. In a sauce pan combine the cream of mushroom soup, dash of pepper and peas. Heat on low setting so not to scald and burn.
• 2. If the mixture seems too thick you can add a dash of milk, but you want a thick mixture and not runny. Break up your tuna adding it to the creamed mixture. Heat to a low simmer bubble.
• 3. Serve over buttered toast.

CREAM TUNA ON TOAST

Steps:

• In a medium saucepan melt butter, stir in flour and spices until mixture is thick creamy paste. Slowly stir in milk being careful to constantly stir to prevent lumping. Add cheese. Add tuna after cheese has melted into mixture. Simmer over low heat for ten minutes.
• Toast bread, then pour over layer of creamed tuna -- Enjoy.

TUNA ON TOAST

Steps:

• Make cream of mushroom soup according to the directions on the can.
• Stir in canned tuna and egg slices. Heat thoroughly. Meanwhile, toast bread slices.
• Spoon tuna mixture over slices of whole wheat toast. Serve.

CREAMED TUNA ON TOAST

Steps:

• In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, mix tuna and soup. Gradually stir in the milk. Cook 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
• Toast the bread. Pour equal amounts of the tuna mixture over each slice of toasted bread and season with salt and pepper to serve.

10-MINUTE TUNA-BEAN TOASTS

Steps:

• Toast as many slices of French bread as you need. Meanwhile, lightly mash the beans. Pour 2 tbsp of tuna oil over the beans, then flake in the tuna. Gently mix in the parsley, and season to taste.
• When the toast is ready, drizzle it with a bit of the tuna oil. Top the toast with a slice of tomato and top the tomato with a spoonful of bean mix. Scatter over the sliced onion. (Any extra bean mix will keep in the fridge for up to 2 days.) Drizzle the toasts with a little more oil (use olive oil if you run out of tuna oil) and serve.
