1 whole watermelon
1 (750-milliliter) bottle vodka

Steps:

Rotate the watermelon about 90 degrees so the hole is now on the side. If you place the melon close to the edge of the counter, you can rotate it even more, angling it toward the floor while keeping the hole in sight. Moving quickly, place the bottle of vodka in the hole of the watermelon.

This is a really funny thing I saw an American friend of mine make. Great for a barbie or party. Wish I'd known about this when I was going to school parties-I could have walked in with my watermelon and got all my mates completely sloshed! Needs to be started a few days-even a week-before you can plan to eat it.

1 large, ripe watermelon--give it a smell and slap to check for ripeness
1 bottle best quality vodka (or even champagne)

Steps:

Simply cut a hole in the top of the melon, wide and deep enough to insert a funnel. Pour some of your chosen alcohol into the melon through the funnel, leave to sit for a day and pour in some more. The flesh will absorb the liquid, so pour in some more the next day--basically until it becomes saturated. When ready to serve, slice up into nice big pieces and get all your mates plastered on it!;

3 pounds watermelon, rind and seedsdiscarded and the flesh cut into pieces,plus thin slices of watermelon for garnish
1/2 cup vodka
1/4 cup Triple Sec
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice

Steps:

In a blender purée the watermelon pieces and strain the purée through a very fine sieve set over a pitcher, discarding the solids. (There should be about 2-1/3 cups juice). Stir in the vodka, the Triple Sec, and the lime juice, pour the cooler into long-stemmed glasses filled with ice cubes, and garnish each drink with a watermelon slice.

1 seedless watermelon, cut into cubes
1 cup coconut sugar
½ cup water
3 fluid ounces vodka
1 splash fresh lime juice
1 cup ice cubes, or as needed
1 tablespoon chili-lime seasoning (such as Tajin®)

Steps:

Set aside a few watermelon chunks for garnish and pass remaining watermelon pieces through a juicer. Measure out 1/2 cup and 3 ounces of watermelon juice separately. Reserve remaining watermelon juice for a different use.
Combine 1/2 cup fresh watermelon juice, sugar, and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Remove from heat and allow watermelon-infused simple syrup to cool, about 30 minutes.
Combine vodka, 3 ounces watermelon juice, 1 ounce watermelon-infused simple syrup, and fresh lime juice in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice and shake well.
Place Tajin® seasoning on a saucer. Wet the rim of your glasses with the lime you just squeezed and roll the rim in Tajin® seasoning. Pour cocktail into the cups and garnish with watermelon chunks.

1/2 cup water
8 cups cubed seedless watermelon
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons vodka

Steps:

In a small saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil. Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved; set aside to cool., In batches, process the watermelon in a food processor for 2-3 minutes or until smooth. Transfer puree to a large bowl; stir in the lemon juice, vodka and sugar syrup. Pour into a 13-in. x 9-in. dish. Freeze for 1 hour or until edges begin to firm; stir. Freeze 2 hours longer or until firm., Process watermelon mixture in batches for 2-3 minutes or until smooth. Serve immediately or transfer to freezer containers and freeze until serving.
