Steps:
- Place cloves in a cheesecloth bag or wrap and tie in cheesecloth to prevent your guests from getting pieces of clove in their drink!
- Heat all ingredients in a large saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until sugar is dissolved.
- Serve warm adding some fruit to each glass.
- Note: if it's too hot it may crack your glass.

HOTTIE SANGRIA
Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cook on high setting for 1 hour. Reduce to warm to hold temperature.
- Place a cinnamon stick in each glass and ladle warm sangria into glasses. Be sure to include some fruit in the glasses.
- *Cook's note: To make simple syrup, combine 1/2 cup sugar with 1/2 cup water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce to a simmer. Stirring occasionally, simmer for 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved.
HOT SPICED SANGRIA
Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Put setting on HIGH for 1 hour. Reduce to warm to hold temperature. Ladle into glasses from slow cooker. Be sure to include some fruit in the glasses. Garnish with orange peel.
- Combine the sugar, water and zest in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer. Stirring occasionally, simmer for 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved.
WARM SANGRIA
Steps:
- *Hardware* Large Kettle In a large kettle combine sugar, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and 4 cups of water. Boil uncovered for 5 minutes and then remove from heat. Add lemons and let stand, covered for 15 minutes. Lift out cloves and cinnamon stick. Add Brandy and Wine Simmer until warm and serve. Save extra cinnamon sticks for garnish.

Stir in the wine, the liqueur, the lemon slices, and the orange slices and heat the mixture over moderate heat, stirring until it is hot. Discard the lemon and orange slices and divide the mixture among 4 heated mugs.
