This easy Berry Lemonade is the perfect way to cool off on hot summer days! With just 3 ingredients, this Berry Lemonade recipe is quick to prepare and even easier to drink!

2/3 cup lemon juice (up to 3/4 cup)
1 cup frozen berries (strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc.)
2/3 cup sugar cane syrup (or simple syrup)
3 cups cold water

Steps:

  • Place berries in ice cube tray, cover with water and freeze overnight or until solid.
  • Cut lemons in half and using a juicer, juice the lemons until you have about 2/3 to 3/4 cup lemon juice, depending on how tart you want the lemonade to be.
  • Slice 2 lemons and add to a pitcher. Pour in lemon juice, syrup and water. Stir to combine. Refrigerate until chilled.
  • When ready to serve, add berry ice cubes to cups and pour lemonade over the top. Alternately, you can add the berry ice cubes to the pitcher, stir, and serve. Lemonade will turn red when the ice cubes begin to melt.

1 (12-ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 cup vanilla simple syrup, recipe follows
3 cups water
Ice
In a blender, combine the berries, lemonade concentrate and syrup. Blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into a large pitcher. Add the water and stir, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Pour the lemonade into ice-filled glasses and serve.

  • To make Vanilla Simple Syrup:

Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved, about 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the syrup to cool, about 20 minutes. Strain before using.

3 cups boiling water
1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

  • Place tea bags in a 4-cup glass measuring cup. Add boiling water; steep 3-5 minutes according to taste. Discard tea bags. Cool tea slightly. A surefire way to make lemonade even more refreshing is to pour it over watermelon ice cubes. This recipe takes some time - the watermelon cubes have to freeze - but almost no effort. If necessary, seed the watermelon before you cut it into chunks and put it in the blender. Cut it lengthwise into quarters, slice off the "heart" of each quarter to expose the row of seeds and remove them with the tines of a fork.

1 1/2 pounds watermelon (about 1/2 small watermelon)
1 cup sugar
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice, pulp and rinds reserved (from about 12 lemons)
Vodka (optional)

Steps:

  • Peel the watermelon and cut the flesh into large chunks. Purée them in a blender until smooth. Pour the purée through a fine-mesh strainer, and discard the solids.
  • Pour the strained watermelon into an ice-cube tray (plastic, not silicon). Freeze until solid.
  • Make simple syrup: In a small saucepan combine sugar with 1 cup water, and place over medium heat. Cook, stirring, until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and chill.
  • In another pot bring 6 cups water to a boil. Remove from heat, and add lemon rinds and pulp. Cover, let steep for 10 minutes and then strain.
  • Combine strained liquid in a pitcher with lemon juice. Refrigerate until ready to serve. (Fruit mixture and simple syrup can be refrigerated separately for a couple of days, until needed.)
  • Before serving, add simple syrup to taste, and add vodka to make it boozy if you like. Serve in glasses over the watermelon ice cubes.

Steps:

  • Place half of the watermelon cubes in a blender and process until smooth. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve set over a large bowl; discard the solids. Repeat with the remaining watermelon cubes. You should end up with about 1 quart of watermelon juice.
  • Add the lime juice and sugar to the watermelon juice, and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Taste, and add more sugar if necessary. Transfer the limeade to a nonreactive pitcher and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
  • Serve over ice in tumblers, with lime slices for garnish.

1/4 cup sugar
2 cups boiling water
