150 g solid white tuna, drained and flaked

Steps:

  • Spread both sides of the bread thinly with butter.
  • Place the cheese on the bread and then the tuna.
  • Grill for 2 minutes on each side or until the bread is golden brown.
  • Serve or refrigerate and eat later (they are still nice cold).

My husband and I were sick of frying grilled cheeses on the stove because you have so many pieces of bread to use, and you have to stand there for a long time if you feed up to six people like we do. So we came up with this idea.

18 slices bread
4 tablespoons butter
9 slices Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • Butter one side of 9 slices of bread, and place butter-side down on a baking sheet. Arrange cheese on each slice of bread. Spread butter on 9 remaining slices of bread, and place them buttered-side up on top of the cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 6 to 8 minutes. Flip the sandwiches, and bake an additional 6 to 8 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • On a cutting board, butter each piece of bread with butter on one side.
  • Flip the bread over and spread each piece of bread with mayonnaise.
  • Place the cheese on the buttered side of one piece of bread. Top it with the second piece of bread, mayonnaise side out.

8 slices sourdough bread
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
3 tablespoons finely shredded Manchego or Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 cup shredded sharp white cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
4 ounces Brie cheese, rind removed and sliced

Steps:

  • Spread 3 tablespoons butter on 1 side of bread slices. Toast bread, butter side down, in a large skillet or electric griddle over medium-low heat until golden brown, 2-3 minutes; remove. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, Manchego cheese, onion powder and remaining 3 tablespoons butter. In another bowl, combine cheddar, Monterey Jack and Gruyere. , To assemble sandwiches, top toasted side of 4 bread slices with sliced Brie. Sprinkle cheddar cheese mixture evenly over Brie. 1 slice cheese (American cheese)
Pam cooking spray
grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • For this sandwich, I used the George Foreman Grill, but any panini grill will work also.
  • Spray PAM on one side of the bread. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on the PAM sprayed side. Place the slice of bread with the grated parmesan side down. Place a slice of cheese on top. Put the second slice of bread on top of the cheese.
  • Spray PAM on the top side of the second slice of bread. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on top.
