- Spray 12-inch nonstick skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium heat. Add onions to skillet; cook uncovered 10 minutes, stirring every 3 to 4 minutes, until tender and starting to brown. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cook 35 to 40 minutes longer, stirring every 5 minutes, until onions are deep golden brown; set aside.
- Meanwhile, cook and drain pasta as directed on package except omit salt. Spray 11x7-inch (2-quart) baking dish with cooking spray. Pour pasta into baking dish; keep warm.
- While pasta is cooking, make cheese sauce. In 3-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt, pepper and mustard with wire whisk. Cook about 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly; remove from heat. Gradually stir in milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly; boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in caramelized onions and all remaining cheese sauce ingredients.
- Heat oven to 400°F. Pour cheese sauce over pasta in baking dish. Sprinkle with topping ingredients. Bake uncovered 10 minutes or until heated through (topping will not be brown).

- Evenly spread the Easy Mac and Cheese in an 8-inch square baking dish. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Cut the mac and cheese into 4 equal-size squares.
- Preheat a griddle over medium-low heat. Place each mac and cheese square on a slice of bread, top with 1 slice American cheese and 2 slices bacon. Top with a second piece of bread and griddle the sandwich until golden and warm, about 4 minutes per side. Repeat with the remaining ingredients. Serve.
- For the adults, toss the tomatoes in some hot sauce and add on top of the bacon before griddling your sandwich.
- Cook the macaroni in a large pot of boiling salted water to al dente and drain.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepot over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and stir for a couple of minutes, making sure it's free of lumps and the flour taste is cooked out. Stir in the milk, bring to a simmer and cook over medium-low until thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the processed cheese and Cheddar until melted, add the hot sauce and fold in the macaroni. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
CREAMY STOVETOP BACON MAC AND CHEESE

- In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta until al dente; drain.
- Set an extra-large skillet, or a large heavy saucepan, over medium-low heat and cook the bacon until crispy and the fat renders out, 10 to 12 minutes. Set the bacon aside, reserving the fat to build your sauce. At this point you should have about 1/4 cup of reserved fat. If needed, add some olive oil or butter to make sure you have a 1/4 cup of fat in the pan.
- Add the flour and cook, whisking constantly, until the paste bubbles a bit, about 2 minutes (make sure it doesn't brown). Continuing to whisk, add 3 cups of the hot milk and cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Bring the sauce to a boil, reduce the heat to low and cook for 2 to 3 more minutes. Stir in the dry mustard, and then gradually add the Cheddar and Muenster cheeses, stirring constantly until all of the cheese has melted into the sauce. Stir in the hot sauce and the remaining 1 cup milk. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and stir to coat. Stir in the crispy bacon and season with salt and pepper.

- Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray and pour macaroni and cheese into it. Use a spatula to spread evenly and place in your Kenmore fridge until chilled (about 2 hours). , Butter one side of the white bread and place the American cheese on the non-buttered side. , Then cut a piece of the chilled mac and cheese that is slightly smaller to fit onto bread. , Top with 2 slices of bacon (I break mine into smaller pieces) then butter remaining slice and place butter side up on sandwich., Heat a cast iron skillet to medium high heat and add 2-3 Tbsp. of parmesan cheese. - Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the onion into ½-inch (1.24 cm) thick rounds. Separate the rings and arrange on the prepared baking sheet.
- Roughly chop 4 slices of bacon and add to a medium bowl, along with the macaroni and cheese. Stir to combine.
- Fill each onion ring with a generous spoonful of the bacon macaroni and cheese. Transfer to the freezer for at least 1 hour, or until fully hardened.
- Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (180°C). Set a wire rack inside another rimmed baking sheet.
- Finely chop the remaining 2 slices of bacon and add to a medium bowl with the bread crumbs, salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Add the flour and eggs to 2 separate bowls.
- Coat a frozen onion ring in the flour, shaking off excess, then into the egg, then the bread crumbs, then back into the egg and bread crumbs once more. Set on the wire rack and repeat with the remaining onion rings.
- Working in batches of 2-3 at a time, fry the onion rings in the hot oil for 3-4 minutes, until deep golden brown in color and the macaroni and cheese is warmed through.
- Serve the onion rings warm with marinara sauce and ranch dressing for dipping, if desired.

Steps:
- COMBINE sugar, vinegar, and molasses in a zip-lock bag. Squish bag to combine ingredients.
- WRAP onion wedges with bacon; secure with long wooden picks. Place in zip-lock bag.
- PUT in refrigerator overnight. Turn bag over a couple of times.
- REMOVE onion wedges from marinade; reserve marinade.
- BAKE in a 350 degree oven until bacon starts to crisp, about 15 minutes.
- GRILL to finish cooking onion and bacon. Basting with reserved marinade.
- Don't cook too long, the onion should still be crisp-tender.
- OR if you don't want to grill the onions, let them finish in the oven. Basting occasionally.
- PREP TIME reflects the overnight in the fridge.
