Bananas are my children's favorite fruit, this is why I try to include them in their lunchboxes and in some snacks, like this delicious Granola and Yogurt with Bananas. I like to send the ingredients pre-cut and ready to be mixed in their lunchbox, so that they can pretend to be little chefs and have fun preparing their food within a few minutes! I hope that you and your children like this delicious recipe of granola, yogurt and banana.

1/2 cup of Natural Yoplait or Vanilla Yoplait® Original Yogurt
1 Banana, sliced

  • Cut the banana in slices. Place the granola, the raisins and the banana in different containers or in small bento boxes.
  • To prepare it, place the yogurt above the banana.
  • Add raisins to taste to give it some more flavor, and then it will be ready to enjoy!

You can make this with frozen yogurt as well.You can also top with some fresh ground flaxseed and or some toasted coconut for a tropical feel.

1 1/2 firm-ripe bananas
an 8-ounce container plain yogurt
1 cup raspberries
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons granola
1/4 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon packed dark brown sugar

  • Coarsely grate bananas. In a bowl gently stir together banana, yogurt, 2/3 cup raspberries, 1/2 cup granola, sour cream, and brown sugar until combined.
  • Divide mixture between 2 bowls. Sprinkle yogurt with remaining 2 tablespoons granola and garnish with remaining 1/3 cup raspberries.

1/2 cup walnuts (milled to flour in processor)
1/2 cups oatmeal (quick oats)
4 tablespoons sunflower seeds
6 tablespoons wheat germ
4 tablespoons shredded coconut
1/4 cup honey
4 tablespoons cold water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 cups fresh raspberries
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon gelatin
2 cups plain yogurt (drained in cheesecloth for at least 15 minutes)

Steps:

  • In a bowl mix the dry ingredients. Add the liquids starting with the honey. Spray a 9-inch tart pan with oil. Spread a layer of the granola mixture in the bottom and on the sides of the tart pan. Bake at 325 until it begins to brown, about 20 minutes. Remove, cool, then remove from the tart from the pan. In a food processor, puree the raspberries with the sugar. Do not over process, as the seeds are to be strained. Transfer the puree to a fine sieve or chinois and separate the seeds with a wooden spoon. Warm the mixture briefly in a microwave. Add the gelatin and dissolve. Refrigerate the puree until it cools. Combine with the drained yogurt. Chill for 2 hours.
  • Fill the base of the tart crust with a layer of fresh raspberries. Spread a layer of the raspberry yogurt over the raspberries. Top with more raspberri

2 cups your favorite granola
2 cups fresh berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries (hulled and sliced), and/or other fruit such as bananas, peaches or mangos, peeled and sliced
4 tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • Line up 4 parfait, white wine, or other tall glasses.
  • Spoon 2 tablespoons of yogurt into each glass and smooth surface.
  • Spoon 2 tablespoons of granola overtop and smooth surface.
  • Spoon 2 tablespoons of fruit overtop and smooth surface.
  • Repeat the process, adding a bit of honey here and there, to taste.

  • Cut the bananas in half horizontally.

  • In a tall glass or mixing cup, add Greek yogurt and almond milk, and mix together. If the texture is too thick, add more almond milk until the coating is silky.
