2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 1/2 cups chopped white onions
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 cup cider vinegar
1 cup water
1 1/2 tablespoons dry mustard
2 tablespoons yellow mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon crushed red chili flakes
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper
5 pounds pork shoulder, cut into 2-inch cubes

Steps:

  • In a saucepan melt butter and add onions and garlic and saute until translucent. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil, then simmer for 45 minutes. Braise pork in this sauce for 2 1/2 to 3 hours until fork tender enough to pull with fork. Strain liquid and reserve. When the pork is cooled, pull or shred the meat with fork or fingers. Reheat the pork in the reserved sauce. Serve as a sandwich with coleslaw and sesame seed buns.

2 pounds pork loin
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup bourbon
⅓ cup apple cider vinegar

Steps:

  • Combine garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Massage over all sides of pork loin for 1 minute. Place pork in a slow cooker.
  • Mix brown sugar, bourbon, and apple cider vinegar together in a bowl and pour over pork loin. Close slow cooker.
  • Cook on Low until pork is tender, 8 to 10 hours. Remove pork from slow cooker and shred with 2 forks. Mix with bacon.

This is a Rachael Ray recipe. Havent seen one like this. I made it for dinner and it was delicious and so simple to prepare, a real 30 minute meal for any occasion. I cut my own chops from a boneless pork loin so you can adjust the thickness to your liking. Instead of salt and pepper I used seasoned salt and added 2-3 tablespoons of honey mustard to the sauce for extra creaminess. Oven cooking will depend on thickness of chops. Serve with rice and honey glazed carrots.

3 tablespoons olive oil
4 pork chops, about 1 1/2 inches thick
salt and pepper
3 tablespoons grainy mustard
1/2 cup chick stock
4 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons butter
2 ounces Bourbon (or 1 nip)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven 400.
  • Place large oven skillet over medium high heat with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Season the chops and sear until deep golden brown.
  • When chops are seared, add 1 tablespoon olive oil along with the mustard, stock, honey and butter. When liquids come up to a bubble, pour bourbon into the skillet, remove from heat and carefully flame with a lighter. Or just continue boiling the sauce and the alcohol will cook away.
  • Season the sauce with salt and pepper, and continue cooking until it starts to thicken, 2-3 minutes. Flip the chops over and transfer the entire pan to the oven to finish cooking, about 5 minutes.

1 pound boneless pork loin roast
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 (12 ounce) bottle BBQ sauce
½ cup honey

Steps:

  • Place onions into the bottom of a slow cooker and place garlic on top. Top with pork roast and season with pepper and salt. Pour BBQ sauce over the top of the roast, making sure all is covered, including onions and garlic. Pour honey on top of the roast only.
  • Cover and cook on High until meat is easily shredded with 2 forks, about 6 hours, or on Low for 12 hours.

Steps:

  • Marinate the pork chops: Place the pork chops in a gallon-size ziplock bag. Add ½ cup French's Creamy Yellow Mustard, warmed honey, the apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper, and McCormick® Paprika. Massage through the bag until the pork chops are completely covered, then seal the bag and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Make the honey mustard sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shallot and cook until fragrant and translucent, about 2 minutes. Transfer the pork shoulder -in sections if it is falling apart- to a 9-inch by 13-inch pan. Cover with plastic wrap and chill until easy to handle. If it is quite chilled, it is far easier to remove fat and connective tissue.
  • While the pork chills, strain the cooking juices into a 2 or 3 quart saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Lower the temperature and reduce until thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Remove from heat, cover, and set aside.
  • When the pork is easy to handle, put it on a cutting board and pull it apart into bite sized pieces, removing as much fat and connective tissue as you'd like. I'm fairly surgical about removing as much of it as possible. Discard the bone. When it's in bite sized pieces, chop it quickly with a large knife to ensure there aren't any large pieces. Transfer the chopped meat back to the 9-inch by 13-inch pan in which it cooled. Cover with tightly with foil and bake about 30 minutes, or until hot all the way through. Remove the foil, pour the reduced pan juices over it and bake for 10 more minutes. Toss to coat and serve!
