- Dissolve Jello in 1 cup of hot water. Put ice cream in that mixture and stir until dissolved. Then blend in fruit.
- Pour into a pie shell and refrigerate until it sets. You can use so many different combos!

FRUIT ICEBOX PIE
One could substitute graham cracker crumbs for the vanilla wafers, and fruit cocktail for the fruit called for in this recipe. It's a great dessert and one my mother made when I was a kid, well over 25 years ago! This was one of the recipes I copied from my mom's collection when I left home for the first time! This pie contains raw eggs. We recommend that pregnant women, children, the elderly, and the infirm do not consume raw eggs.

Steps:
- In a medium bowl, cream together butter and confectioners sugar. mix in eggs and vanilla extract. Spread half of cookie crumbs into bottom of a 9 inch pie pan. Spread creamed mixture evenly over the crumbs.
- Whip cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in pineapple, bananas, dates, and nuts. Spread over butter mixture. Top with remaining cookie crumbs.
- Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Chill 24 hours before serving.

Sprinkle with remaining almonds. Freeze at least 3 hours or until firm.3. Let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes before cutting. Garnish as desired. Store in freezer.*NOTE: To toast almonds, spread evenly on baking sheet. Bake at 350°F for 5 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown, stirring once or twice.

- Spoon ice cream into crust; smooth top. Squeeze chocolate sauce in straight lines over pie, spacing 1/2 inch apart. Draw tip of knife through chocolate lines, forming chevron pattern. Sprinkle with almonds; freeze until firm. DO AHEAD Can be made 1 day ahead; keep frozen. Let pie soften slightly before serving.
- Just before serving, bring all berries, 2 tablespoons water, and brown sugar to simmer in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook until sauce thickens, stirring gently, about 4 minutes; remove from heat. Cut pie into wedges; place on plates. Spoon warm sauce over.
