BUBBLE UP PIZZA CASSEROLE

1 lb uncooked hot Italian poultry sausage (casings removed if present (can be turkey or chicken sausage))
8 oz sliced white mushrooms
8 oz can tomato sauce
1 cup pizza sauce
2 oz turkey pepperoni slices (cut into quarters)
1.5 oz sliced black olives
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
1 (7.5 oz) can of refrigerated biscuit dough
1 cup shredded 2% Mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Pre-heat the oven to 350. Lightly mist a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
  • Bring a large skillet or saute pan over medium heat and add the sausage. Cook sausage, breaking up with a spoon or spatula for a couple minutes and then add the mushrooms. Cook both for an additional 6-8 minutes until the sausage is cooked through in pieces and the mushrooms are softened.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, pizza sauce, pepperoni, olives, seasoning, pepper flakes and biscuit dough pieces until well combined. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle the Mozzarella over the top. Return to the oven for another 15 minutes until hot and bubbly.

2 medium green onions, chopped (2 tablespoons), if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 425°.
  • Cook beef in 10-inch skillet over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain. Stir in pizza sauce. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low and keep warm.
  • Beat eggs, milk, oil, flour and salt with wire whisk until foamy. Spoon beef mixture into ungreased rectangular baking dish, 13x9x2 inches. Sprinkle with cheese. Pour egg mixture over cheese. Sprinkle with onions.
  • Bake uncovered 25 to 30 minutes or until puffy and golden brown. Serve immediately.

3 (7 1/2 ounce) cans buttermilk biscuits, quartered
1 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 garlic clove, minced

pepperoni
bell pepper
dried basil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • In a large bowl mix quartered biscuits, garlic, l cup of sauce & 2 cups of cheese.
  • Add toppings and save some for the top layer.
  • Spread mixture into a 9x13 pan.

1 lb Italian Sausage
1/2 onion, diced
1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp oregano
2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
4 cups Low Sodium Chicken Broth, or water
16 oz Rotini pasta
24 oz jar pizza sauce
8 oz Mozzarella cheese, shredded and divided
20-30 pepperoni slices, divided
1 green or red pepper, diced
½ cup mushrooms sliced
½ cup Sliced Black Olives
½ cup Cooked Bacon Pieces

Steps:

  • Turn on pot to the Sauté setting. Once the display reads HOT, add the sausage and onion and sauté until the sausage is completely cooked.
  • Add Italian seasoning, oregano, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper and stir. If you are using green pepper or mushroom, add them here.
  • Add the broth and stir, scraping the bottom of the pot to deglaze by removing any browned bits stuck on the bottom of the pan. Cancel the Sauté function.
  • Add the pasta evenly over the mixture and DO NOT STIR.
  • Pour the pizza sauce over the pasta and to cover it completely and DO NOT STIR.
  • Lock the lid in place and move the valve to the Sealing position. Pressure Cook/Manual on HIGH pressure for 4 minutes (half of the boiling time as instructed on the box).
  • When finished cooking perform a Quick Release of the pressure by slowly moving the valve to the venting position. Do it slowly to prevent any splattering.
  • Carefully open the lid and stir in half of the cheese and all but 9 pieces of pepperoni. Stir in olives or cooked bacon if using.
  • Sprinkle the remaining Mozzarella cheese on top and then place the remaining pepperoni on top of the cheese. Close the lid and let the cheese melt.
  • Serve immediately.

1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 clove garlic, minced
1 jar spaghetti sauce

1 cup milk
1 tablespoon oil
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup flour
1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Brown meat.
  • Add all but cheese.
  • Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In a small bowl, beat the milk, oil and eggs for 1 minute on medium speed.
  • Add flour and salt, beat 2 minutes more on medium speed until smooth.
  • Pour hot meat mixture into a 13x9 inch pan.
  • Place cheese on top.
  • Pour batter over cheese, covering filling completely.
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake 25-30 minutes at 400 degrees.
  • Serve immediately.

2 eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • In a 12-inch skillet, cook ground beef until brown. Drain off the fat.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, onion, green pepper, water, spaghetti sauce mix, oregano, garlic, and hot pepper sauce. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a small bowl, beat milk, eggs, butter, and cooking oil with an electric mixer on medium speed for 1 minute. Add the flour and beat for 2 minutes more.
  • Turn meat mixture into a 13x9x2-inch baking pan; sprinkle with the mozzarella. Top with the flour mixture. Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese. Bake in a 400 degree F oven about 30 minutes or until puffed and golden.

1 pkg dry spaghetti sauce mix
dash salt
1/2 c water
1/8 tsp tobasco sauce
mozzarella cheese slices
BATTER
1 c milk
1 Tbsp oil
2 eggs
1 c flour
1/2 tsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400 F
  • 2. Brown beef, drain fat and add remaining ingredients except cheese and batter. Mix well and simmer 15-20 minutes.
  • 3. Pour into casserole dish and cover with cheese slices. Beat ingredients for batter for 1 minute at medium speed. Pour over base.
  • 4. Spread to cover all. Sprinkle with parmesan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or till golden brown and puffed.
