One-Pot Sausage And Peppers Pasta Recipe by Tasty image

Here's what you need: farfalle pasta, olive oil, hot italian sausages, sweet italian sausages, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, white onion, garlic, diced tomato, oregano, salt, black ground pepper

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 lb farfalle pasta, or any short pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 hot italian sausages
3 sweet italian sausages
1 red bell pepper, large, diced
1 green bell pepper, large, diced
1 yellow bell pepper, large, diced
½ white onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, sliced
28 oz diced tomato
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black ground pepper

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil, add a generous amount of salt, and cook pasta 2 minutes less than the package instructions.
  • Strain pasta and set aside. Toss with a small amount of oil to prevent sticking
  • In the same pot, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil and fry sausages, working in batches as needed, until deeply browned on all sides.
  • Remove sausages, slice in ¾-inch (2 cm) rings, and set aside.
  • Sauté all of the bell peppers, onion, and garlic for about 2 minutes.
  • Add the canned tomatoes, all of the spices, and the sausage slices to the pot.
  • Simmer about 10 minutes.
  • Add the pasta back to the pot and stir gently until all the ingredients are coated in the sauce. Continue simmering until pasta is al dente.
  • Serve with grated parmesan.
  • Enjoy!

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 pound sweet Italian turkey sausage
2 red bell peppers, sliced
2 yellow onions, sliced
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
4 garlic cloves, chopped
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 cup Marsala wine
1 (15-ounce) can diced tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
4 to 6 fresh Italian sandwich rolls, optional

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a heavy large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook until brown on both sides, about 7 to 10 minutes. Remove from the pan and drain.
  • Keeping the pan over medium heat, add the peppers, onions, salt, and pepper and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Add the oregano, basil, and garlic and cook 2 more minutes.
  • Add the tomato paste and stir. Add the Marsala wine, tomatoes, and chili flakes, if using. Stir to combine, scraping the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon to release all the browned bits. Bring to a simmer.
  • Cut the sausages into 4 to 6 pieces each, about 1-inch cubes. Add the sausage back to the pan and stir to combine. Cook until the sauce has thickened, about 20 minutes.
  • Serve in bowls. Or, if serving as a sandwich, split the rolls in half lengthwise. Hollow out the bread from the bottom side of each roll, being careful not to puncture the crust. Fill the bottom half of the roll with sausage mixture. Top and serve sandwiches immediately.

1 tablespoon olive oil, or more to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Spread sausage pieces into a baking dish.
  • Bake sausage in preheated oven until heated through, about 20 minutes.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Saute onion in oil until translucent, 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Stir sausage with the onion. Pour tomato sauce over the sausage mixture; bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes.

3 pounds Italian sausage links
3 red bell peppers, sliced
2 green bell peppers, sliced
2 large red onions, sliced

2 (12 fluid ounce) bottles beer
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
3 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons hot sauce
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Heat olive oil in a large heavy skillet over medium high heat. Cook sausage until browned on all sides. Remove sausage from pan, and set aside. Pour in 1 bottle of beer to deglaze the pan, scraping up any blackened bits from the bottom. Place the red peppers, green peppers, onions and garlic in the pan. Stir in the remaining beer and the tomato paste. Season with oregano, cilantro, hot sauce, salt and pepper. Cover, and simmer until onions and peppers are tender. 1 cup heavy cream
1 ½ lb raw italian sausage
10 oz spinach
½ lb bacon
1 green bell pepper, julienned
1 yellow bell pepper, julienned
1 red bell pepper, julienned
1 can stewed tomatoes, 14.5 oz (395 G)
16 oz chicken broth
8 oz pappardelle
5 oz parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Fry bacon and remove from the pan. Drain grease. Then, remove sausage from
  • casing and fry in bacon grease.
  • Add julienned peppers and cook for 5 minutes. Add spinach and cook until spinach begins to wilt.
  • Once spinach is slightly wilted, add chicken broth, tomatoes and cream. Stir until cream

1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
1 package (14 ounces) smoked sausage, sliced

1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon Creole seasoning
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven, cook pasta according to package directions, adding asparagus during the last 4 minutes of cooking. Meanwhile, in a large nonstick skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Stir in cream, Parmesan cheese, Creole seasoning and pepper; cook and stir until slightly thickened, about 3 minutes., Drain pasta mixture, reserving 1/2 cup cooking water; add to sausage mixture.
