Enjoy the refreshing taste of the paloma. This popular tequila cocktail is a Mexican favorite, features grapefruit soda, and is very easy to whip up.

Ingredients

Optional: lime wedge (for wetting rim of glass)
Optional: salt (for rim of glass)
2 ounces tequila (blanco or reposado)
1/4 to 1/2 ounce lime juice (fresh; to taste)
4 ounces grapefruit soda

Steps:

Gather the ingredients.
If desired, rim a collins glass with salt . Begin by wetting the rim with a lime wedge, then roll it in a small dish of salt.
Fill the glass with ice and add the tequila and lime juice.
Top it off with grapefruit soda and enjoy.

Ingredients

1 1/2 shots of reposado tequila (or any good quality blanco)
juice of half a ruby grape fruit
1/2 shot of agave syrup or sugar syrup
about 75ml club soda
a squirt of fresh lime juice (optional)

Steps:

Mix the grapefruit juice, tequila and sugar syrup until well mixed.
Pour over a tall glass filled with ice and top up with soda water. You could add a squirt of lime juice which is nice and I did, and you could also rim the glass with salt.
