My mother started making this for me and my friends in high school. 12 years later, we can't have a "girl's weekend" without it!

Ingredients

1 loaf round bread
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup salsa
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Cut a 1" slice off the top of the bread. Set aside.
Remove center of bread, leaving 1/2 inch thick shell. Cut center of bread into cubes and bake until toasted.
Dip: With electric mixer, beat cream cheese, sour cream and salsa until smooth. Stir in cheddar cheese.
Spoon mixture into bread bowl, place top onto bread and wrap twice with foil.
Bake about 1 1/2 hours, or until hot.
Serve with toasted bread cubes, Tostitos and veggies.

This dip goes with me to all parties and it is one of the first ones gone. I love it because it is simple but delicious and I always have the ingredients on hand. All swiss can be substituted instead of using mozzarella or experiment with the cheese or your choice. You will be asked for this recipe!

Ingredients

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2/3 cup mayonnaise (full fat version!)
1 1/2 cups deli ham, chopped
1/2 cup shredded swiss cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon green pepper, finely chopped
1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
crackers and tortilla chips, for dipping

Steps:

In mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth. Stir in ham, cheeses, green pepper and mustard. Spread in an ungreased 9" pie plate.
Bake at 400 12-15 minute Do not overbake or the mayonnaise will separate.
