¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Arrange asparagus in a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Combine cream, garlic, pepper and salt in a small bowl; drizzle over the asparagus. Sprinkle mozzarella, Parmesan and crushed red pepper evenly over the asparagus. Bake until the cheese is golden and melted and the asparagus is tender, about 20 minutes. Serve immediately.

1-1/2 cups milk

2 lb. fresh white asparagus spears, trimmed, blanched and cut into 2-1/2-inch lengths

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 425º F.
  • Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Add onions; cook and stir 3 to 5 min. or until crisp-tender. Whisk in flour; cook 2 min. Gradually whisk in milk until blended; cook on medium heat 3 to 5 min. or until thickened, stirring constantly. Add cheese; cook 1 min. or until melted, stirring constantly.
  • Add asparagus; mix lightly. Spoon into 1-1/2 qt. casserole.
  • Bake 15 min. or until heated through and lightly browned.

1/4 cup butter, cubed
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk or half-and-half cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
6 hard-boiled large eggs, sliced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup crushed potato chips

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, bring 1/2 in. of water to a boil. Add asparagus; cover and boil for 3 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain well; set aside. , In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add salt and pepper. , Preheat oven to 350°. In an ungreased 11x7-in. baking dish, layer half of the asparagus. Cover with half of the eggs, cheese and sauce. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with potato chips. , Bake, uncovered, until heated through, 30 minutes.

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Spread out asparagus on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle with olive oil, fresh garlic, and cracked peppercorns. Toss to coat evenly.

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 pound short pasta, such as penne
1 bunch asparagus (about 1 pound), tips trimmed, stalks sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
2 cups whole milk
8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
8 ounces sharp cheddar, grated
4 ounces Gruyere, grated

Steps:

  • Preheat broiler, with rack 6 inches from heating element. Brush 4 small (8-ounce capacity) gratin dishes with butter. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil; add pasta and cook according to package directions 1 minute less than al dente. Add asparagus and cook 1 minute more; drain.
  • Meanwhile, heat milk in a medium pot over medium-high until just simmering. Add cream cheese; whisk until smooth. 1 pint light cream
6 tablespoons flour

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Drain liquid from canned asparagus into a liquid measuring cup and add enough cream to equal 3 cups of liquid.
  • Place drained asparagus in a casserole dish.
  • Melt butter over medium heat.
