RETRO BING BARS
This is a homemade version of the Twin Bing® candy bars from the 60s. They are rich and sweet and a small piece is a nice treat. These really are like candy, so cut in small pieces. A 1-inch square is sufficient! Store in a cool place in an airtight container, separating layers with waxed paper.

Steps:
- Bring sugar, evaporated milk, and 1/2 cup butter to a rolling boil over high heat in a pot. Remove from heat. Add marshmallows, cherry chips, and vanilla extract; stir until fully incorporated. Set aside to cool.
- Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in a microwave. Add peanut butter and 1 teaspoon butter; mix until smooth. Mix in crushed peanuts until fully coated.
- Pour 1/2 of the chocolate mixture into a buttered 9x13-inch pan, making sure to completely cover the bottom. Pour cherry filling mixture on top of chocolate and spread to cover. Top with remaining chocolate mixture. Let cool completely, about 30 minutes. Cut into bars.

CHERRY MASH CANDY
This is one of my favorite Christmas candies!

Steps:
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, stir together sugar, milk, marshmallows, butter, and salt. Simmer for about 5 minutes or until mixture reaches soft ball stage, 240 degrees F (115 degrees C). Turn off heat. Add cherry chips and vanilla; stir until melted.
- Pour mixture into a well-greased 9x13 inch pan, and let cool until firm.
- In a microwave, or in a saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips and peanut butter. Pour over cherry mixture and spread evenly. Allow to cool completely before cutting.

CHERI'S CHERRY BING CANDY
Bing bars. A great Christmas candy to make. A good friend of mine gave me this recipe and is now a favorite in my family. Very popular in the mid west, but sometimes hard to find the cherry chips in other locations. May have to ask your grocer to order them in.

Steps:
- Mix sugar, milk, salt, butter, & marshmallows in heavy pan. Cook over med-high heat, stirring frequently. Bring to boil.
- Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat, add cherry chips & vanilla. Mix well. Ensure chips are melted.
- Pour into greased 9x13 pan, store in refrigerator while you complete the next steps. This will help the cherry mixture to set up.
- Melt chocolate chips & peanut butter over low heat. Add additional chopped nuts. (I like to use the salted Spanish nuts).
- Spread over cherry mixture.
- Let cool & cut into squares.
BING CHERRY CLAFOUTI

- Preheat the oven to 400°F. In a blender blend together 1/3 cup of the sugar, the flour, the eggs, the milk, the vanilla, the zest, the almond extract, and the salt until the custard is just smooth. Arrange the cherries in one layer in a buttered 3-cup gratin dish or flameproof shallow baking dish, pour the custard over them, and bake the clafouti in the middle of the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the top is puffed and springy to the touch. Sprinkle the top with the remaining 1 tablespoon sugar, dot it with the butter, and broil the clafouti under a preheated broiler about 3 inches from the heat for 1 minute, or until it is browned. Serve the clafouti with the ice cream.

- Combine sugar, butter, salt, marshmallows and evaporated milk to a boil, and boil for 5 minutes. Stir constantly as this mixture can scorch easily. Remove from heat, stir in cherry chip until melted and pour into a buttered 9 x 13 pan. Chill until set. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter, either in microwave or on the stovetop, stir in peanuts. Pour over cherry mixture and chill again until set.

- Combine milk and lemon juice. Fold in cherries. In another bowl, beat cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold cream and pecans into cherry mixture., Spread into an ungreased 11x7-in. dish; sprinkle with wafer crumbs. Freeze, covered, until firm. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before cutting. May be frozen up to 2 months.

CHERRY CHOCOLATE NUT BARS RECIPE
Cherry chocolate nut bars are the perfect treat. They have all of the crunch along with sweet and chewy marshmallow textures.

Steps:
- Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter on low in the microwave. Stir well and add the chopped peanuts. Spread half of this mixture in a 9 x 13 inch glass pan sprayed very lightly with non stick cooking spray. Place in fridge to set up.
- Melt marshmallows in the microwave on very low stirring every 20 seconds. When melted and smooth, stir in the frosting.
- Spread this mixture carefully on top of the chocolate layer. Let cool in the fridge.
- Top with remaining chocolate for the last layer. If it has set up a little, just microwave it for about 30 seconds and stir well. Be sure to spread each layer to the edges of the pan.
- Refrigerate until firm. Cut into pieces - about 48.
- Store in refrigerator.
