Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Spray a 12-cup Bundt pan with cooking spray.
- Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and golden brown in spots, about 8 minutes. Let cool slightly.
- Combine the Cheddar, roast beef, garlic powder and sauteed onions in a large bowl. Mix very well, squeezing to compact the mixture.
- Take a piece of biscuit dough, flatten it in your hand and spoon about 1 teaspoon of the roast beef mixture into the center. Fold the dough around the filling, then shape into a ball and place in the prepared Bundt pan. Repeat with the remaining dough. Sprinkle any excess filling into the pan, making sure some of it falls into the cracks between the dough balls.
- Bake until golden brown on top and a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out clean, 50 to 60 minutes. Turn the bread out onto a plate and flip bottom-side up.
- Serve hot with ranch dressing.

CREAMED CHIPPED BEEF ON TOAST
My mom used to make this recipe. It can also be made with 3/4 pound browned, drained hamburger. We called it SOS: Same Ole Stuff. Great comfort food! Either recipe is easy to make and tastes great with a cold beer. Serve over toast.

- Combine all of the dough ingredients in a large bowl, and mix and knead — using your hands, a stand mixer, or a bread machine set on the dough cycle — to make a soft, smooth dough., Place the dough in a lightly greased container — an 8-cup measure works well here — and allow the dough to rise for 60 to 90 minutes, until it's just about doubled in bulk., Gently deflate the dough, and transfer it to a lightly greased work surface., Divide the dough into 32 pieces, by dividing in half, then in halves again, etc.
- Don't worry about making them exactly even; and don't bother to shape them into balls, unless you're totally into perfection.
- For the shape in the photo, divide the dough into 16 pieces, then roll into 4" to 5" diameter rounds., Lightly grease a 9" deep casserole dish, a 9" x 2" cake pan, or an 8 1/2" x 4" loaf pan.
