My grandmother made this dish for every family gathering. Not only was it good as a side dish, but it's excellent as a morning treat.

Steps:
- Beat eggs then combine all ingredients except brown sugar, walnuts and butter.
- Mix well and pour into 8 inch square glass dish.
- Microwave on Medium high (70%) for 7 minutes.
- Combine brown sugar, nuts and butter and sprinkle over top.
- Microwave on medium high (70%) for 7 to 9 minutes longer or until firm in center.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 425°F with rack in upper third. Butter a 1 1/2-quart gratin or other shallow baking dish.
- Whisk together eggs, butter, 7 tablespoons sugar, zest, and nutmeg in a large bowl until well combined, then stir in apples.
- Cook noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, about 5 minutes. Drain noodles, then toss well with apple mixture. Spread in baking dish and sprinkle with remaining tablespoon sugar.
- Bake kugel until top is golden, about 30 minutes. Cool 5 minutes.
MICROWAVE SWEET NOODLE KUGEL
What really brought me to this recipe is that it uses uncooked noodles. The standing time is very important, because if you are too impatient the noodles will come out a little too al dente to your liking.

- Mix with UNCOOKED noodles.
- Let stand for 10 minutes.
- Melt margarine in baking dish or Bundt pan, 2 minutes on FULL power.
- Add noodle mixture.
- Top with corn flakes.
- Microwave on FULL power for 15 to 20 minutes, turning once.
