  • Add 4 cups water to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat, add the tea bags and let steep for 7 minutes. Remove the tea bags and stir in the agave nectar. Let the tea cool before adding it to a large pitcher along with 2 cups ice and 2 more cups water. Add the orange slices before serving.

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed fresh basil leaves
1/2 cup packed fresh mint leaves
2 tablespoons fresh tarragon leaves
Peel of 1 orange, plus more for garnish
3/4 cup fresh orange juice
4 to 6 shots cold vodka
2 to 3 cups cold orange club soda or seltzer
Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish

Steps:

  • Bring the sugar and 2 cups water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat, and cook until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat, and stir in the basil, mint, tarragon and orange peel. Let cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until cold, at least 4 hours and up to 24 hours.
  • Strain the syrup into a pitcher, discarding the solids.
  • Fill six tall glasses with crushed ice. Add a few tablespoons of the syrup to each, then stir in 2 tablespoons of the orange juice and a shot of vodka. Top off with club soda, and garnish with an orange twist and a mint sprig. Serve the remaining syrup to sweeten as desired; leftover syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

¼ cup butter, melted
1 ⅔ cups graham cracker crumbs
3 tablespoons white sugar
½ cup half-and-half cream
½ cup white sugar
½ (12 fluid ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 cups vanilla ice cream, softened

Steps:

  • Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter or margarine, and 3 tablespoons white sugar. Mix well. Press into a 9 inch pie plate. Place in freezer.
  • Beat together half and half and 1/2 cup white sugar for about 2 minutes. Add undiluted orange juice concentrate, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Beat for 1 minute. Add ice cream, and beat an additional 2 minutes. Pour filling into prepared pie crust.
  • Freeze for several hours or overnight. Just before serving, garnish with whipped cream and orange sections if desired.

  • In a stainless steel or enameled saucepan, combine orange rind, sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Simmer for 5 minutes. Let the syrup cool and strain into a large bowl. Stir in bourbon, orange juice and lemon juice. Chill until cold. Transfer to a punch bowl set in a hollowed-out block of ice. Stir in champagne. Garnish the punch with cherries and orange slices.
