1 1/2 cup soybean
8 Numbers burger buns
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 stalks celery
1/2 cup tamari
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 medium capsicum (green pepper)
1 cloves garlic
1/2 medium onion
1/2 large carrot
1 1/2 cup finger millet (ragi)
2 tablespoon refined oil

Steps:

  • To prepare this burger recipe, put a saucepan over medium flame and add soybeans with water and boil until soybeans become soft and tender. Drain the water and transfer soybeans into a bowl. Keep the soybean aside until needed next. Now take a chopping board and chop celery, onion, green bell pepper. Grate carrots. Mince garlic. Keep the ingredients aside until needed next.
  • In a blender, add garlic, oil, soybeans, tamari, cayenne and blend. Blend until you obtain a fine paste. Now transfer this paste into a bowl and keep it aside.
  • Mix in rolled oats, carrots, green bell pepper, celery, cooked millet with the prepared soybean paste. Over medium flame, place a pan and heat 2 tbsp oil in it. Now make round balls from the dough and press them to make a patty. Firmly put each patty on the pan and shallow fry the patties, flipping them once, until theyre browned and cooked through.
  • Once cooked, transfer these patties onto a platter and rub on absorbent tissue to remove excess oil. In the same pan, toast the burger buns until crispy and brown.
  • Transfer buns onto a platter and place patties in between individual buns. Add desired veggies like tomato, onion, lettuce or apply mayonnaise and enjoy.

1/2 green bell pepper, finely chopped
2 1/2 cups cooked millet
2 cups quick (not instant) rolled oats

Steps:

  • In food processor, combine soybeans, tamari, oil, cayenne and garlic. Process until smooth, then transfer to large mixing bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients (except additional oil) in order listed, mixing well with each addition. In large skillet, heat thin layer of oil or cooking spray over medium-high heat. Scoop out about a peach-size amount of bean mixture and shape into a patty (wet hands as necessary so they don't stick) and place each patty into hot oil. Brown on one side, then turn and brown other side 2 to 3 minutes. Repeat with remaining mixture.

1 (15 ounce) can soybeans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup tofu, mashed
1 teaspoon salt
1 -2 garlic clove
1 cup onion, minced
2 scallions, minced
1/4 cup parsley, to taste
2 teaspoons dried dill
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 teaspoons dried mustard
2 cups fine breadcrumbs

Steps:

  • Place everything except bread crumbs in a food processor or blender and puree until fairly smooth.
  • Transfer to a bowl, and add the bread crumbs. Stir until well combined.
  • Form into patties abut 4 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch thick, using about 1/2 cup of mixture for each patty.
  • Heat a heavy, non stick skillet and brush with oil. When pan is hot, add burgers and turn the heat down to medium, and cook for about 10 minutes on each side. Watch them carefully so they get nice and brown but don't burn.
  • Serve burger style.

1 teaspoon salt or 1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon onion flakes (optional)
1 teaspoon parsley or 1 teaspoon tarragon (optional)
1 teaspoon Mrs. Dash seasoning mix or 1 teaspoon your own blend seasoning (optional)
pepper, to taste (optional)
liquid smoke, to taste (optional)
vegetable oil, for frying

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients in medium-sized bowl (be sure to crumble the bouillon cube); let sit for 5 minutes so liquid is absorbed.
  • Heat oil in skillet.
  • Form patties about the size and thickness of your palm; or, drop large spoonfull of mixture into oil and flatten with spatula.
  • Fry patties on both sides until golden.
  • Serve as entree or with buns.

1 cup cooked brown rice
1 cup frozen shelled soybeans, cooked according to package instructions
1/3 cup whole-wheat flour
1 teaspoon coarse salt
3 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
Freshly ground pepper
3 tablespoons sunflower or canola oil
1/3 cup low-fat mayonnaise
4 hamburger buns
Lettuce, for serving

Steps:

  • Put toasted sesame seeds, rice, soybeans, flour, salt, 2 teaspoons soy sauce, and the eggs into a large bowl; season with pepper. Using your hands, gently combine mixture. Shape into 4 patties.
  • Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook patties, flipping once, until beginning to brown and cooked through, 5 to 6 minutes per side.
  • Stir remaining teaspoon soy sauce with mayonnaise. Serve patties on buns with lettuce and mayonnaise mixture.
