1 (16 ounce) bag frozen stew vegetables
1 lb beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained

Steps:

  • Mix flour, sugar, garlic powder, salt, rosemary and pepper in a small bowl.
  • Place frozen vegetables in the bottom of a slow cooker. Sprinkle with flour/spice mixture. Add stew meat, wine, bay leaf and tomatoes. Cook on High for 4-6 hours or on Low for 8-10 hours.
  • Remove bay leaf before serving.

1 (28 ounce) can progresso whole peeled tomatoes with basil, undrained
1 medium onion, chopped
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 (1 1/4 ounce) envelope taco seasoning mix
1 (15 ounce) can progresso black beans, rinsed and drained
1 (11 ounce) can whole mexicorn whole kernel corn, drained

Steps:

  • Mix beef, tomatoes, onion and chili powder in 3 1/2-to 4-quart slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low heat setting about 9 hours or until beef is tender.
  • Stir in taco seaoning mix with wire whisk.
  • Stir in beans and corn.
  • Cover and cook on high heat setting 15-30 min or until thickened.
  • Oven Directions (ready in 2 hrs.):.
  • Heat oven to 350°F Mix beef, tomatoes, onion and chili powder in 4-qt.
  • Dutch oven.
  • Cover and bake 1 1/2 hours, stirring once.
  • Stir in taco seasoning mix with wire whisk.

1 (11 1/2 ounce) can v8 juice
2 celery ribs, chopped
2 medium carrots, chopped
1 medium sweet onion, chopped
3 bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon cold water
1/2 cup frozen corn
1/2 cup frozen peas

Steps:

  • In 3-quart slow cooker, combine the first 12 ingredients.

1 (20 ounce) can unsweetened pineapple chunks in juice, undrained
2 ½ pounds cubed beef stew meat
2 large onions, cut into wedges
½ cup beef broth
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 garlic cloves, crushed
¾ teaspoon seasoned salt
¾ teaspoon ground paprika
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 ½ tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 large tomatoes, cut into wedges

Steps:

  • Drain the pineapple juice into a slow cooker, reserving the pineapple chunks. Place the beef, onions, beef broth, 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar, garlic, seasoned salt, paprika, and black pepper into the slow cooker with the juice. Mix well, cover, and cook on Low until the beef is tender, 6 to 6 1/2 hours.
  • Increase the setting to High and stir in green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and brown sugar. 3 large potatoes, peeled,diced
1 cup sliced carrot
1 1/2 lbs beef stew meat, cut up bite sized
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup flour
4 cups beef broth
1 medium onion, grated
1 (15 ounce) can corn, drained
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Place diced potatoes and sliced carrots in a large microwave safe bowl, cover and cook in microwave for six minutes until potatoes are partially cooked.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet.
  • Place flour in a gallon sized plastic bag and coat meat.
  • Brown meat in skillet.
  • (Remaining flour in bag will be used as thickener) Put potatoes and meat in crock pot.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • Add flour from bag along with enough to make 1/3 of a cup of flour.
  • Stir well and let simmer on low for 4 hours.
  • If not to desired thickness you may remove cover and turn to high, stir every so often.
  • Or add more flour or some cornstarch dissolved in a little water.
