Steps:
- Mix the cream cheese and cool whip together until well combined.
- Add in the crushed pineapple and coconut flakes.
- Remove the cranberry sauce from the can and mash well in a small bowl before adding gently to the mixture.
- Refrigerate until completely chilled (preferably an hour).
- Fold in the marshmallows just before serving.

- In a large bowl, mix first 6 ingredients. Refrigerate, covered, overnight., To serve, beat cream until stiff peaks form. Fold whipped cream and walnuts into cranberry mixture.

CRANBERRY SALAD (A.K.A. THANKSGIVING PINK STUFF)
My mother got this recipe from a dear family friend in the 1950's. No matter who in our family is making Thanksgiving dinner, you can bet this dish will be served. Note: the times indicated do not include refrigeration time. Cranberries from Wisconsin make this a Midwest U.S. regional recipe. (Also, I first enjoyed it in Missour - another fine Midwestern state).

Steps:
- The day before serving, cook cranberries in water over low heat until soft.
- Add sugar and mash.
- Add chopped nuts.
- Stir, cover and refrigerate overnight.
- About 4 hours before serving, add the fruit cocktail.
- Just before serving, whip cream, add sugar and vanilla and whip until soft peaks form.
- Add bananas to fruit mixture.
- Gently fold whipped cream into fruit mixture until well blended.
- Serve immediately.
- Note: You can use Cool Whip instead of whipping the cream, but the flavor is so much better with the real thing!
PINK STUFF (CRANBERRY SALAD)

- Day before: 1. Chop cranberries in electric grinder or food processer. Mix sugar and cranberries in a small storage container and place in fridge. 2. In a large bowl mix cool whip with marshmallows. Cover mixture with cling wrap and refrigerate (or put in covered container). Day of: 3. Open and drain the small can of crushed pineapple. Add the drained pineapple to the cranberry and sugar mixture. 4. Fold the cran, sugar, and pineapple mixture into the cool whip and marshmallows. Cover the pink stuff with wrap and refrigerate for an hour or more before serving with the rest of the meal.

- Process cranberries in blender or food processor; pour sugar over cranberries and stir to dissolve.
- Bring 3/4 cup of water to a boil; stir in gelatin and let cool. Stir cooled gelatin into cranberries, and add pineapple, orange juice, apple and pecans. Mix well, cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Whip cream and beat in cream cheese.
- In a glass serving dish, layer half of the cranberry mixture, then the whipped cream mixture, then the remaining cranberry mixture.
