1 cup chopped fresh pineapple
8 pitted dates
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
¼ cup frozen blackberries, or to taste
½ cup chopped kale leaves
1 cup chopped frozen pineapple

Steps:

  • Blend fresh pineapple, dates, and vanilla extract together in a Vitamix® or blender until smooth, about 90 seconds. Add blackberries and blend, about 90 seconds. Add kale and blend, about 90 seconds; repeat for 90 seconds more. Add frozen pineapple and blend until smooth, about 90 seconds.

If you haven't tried adding spirulina to your morning smoothies yet, you should board the train immediately! Spirulina is an algae, and even the powdered stuff carries a hint of that flavor with it. So, I like to add a few extra dates and a splash of vanilla to make this powerhouse smoothie easier to drink.

1 cup chopped kale
1 cup milk of choice (any kind of milk will work)
1 frozen banana, sliced
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
2 teaspoons bee pollen
1 teaspoon spirulina
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 dates, pitted

Steps:

  • Place the kale, milk, banana, hemp seeds, bee pollen, spirulina, vanilla, dates and a handful of ice in a blender and puree until smooth.
