1 lemon, rind of

Steps:

  • put all ingredients into a pot
  • turn stove to medium if you have that setting otherwise set to low.
  • cook until smooth stirring the mixture as much as possible.

MEXICAN GREEN HONEY SALSA (MEDIUM HOT)



Mexican Green Honey Salsa (Medium Hot) image

A friend asked me to post this recipe which I like very much. The original recipe is from "Secrets of Salsa."

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 lb tomatillo, husked
1 small onion, quartered
3 jalapeno peppers
2 garlic cloves
1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
2 teaspoons honey
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Steps:

  • In a large no-stick skillet, grill the onion, peppers and garlic for about 5 minutes, turning them until they are evenly grilled (slightly browned). Place into a bowl and set aside.
  • Grill the tomitillos next, by the same method.
  • Put all the grilled ingredients into a food processor and chop fine by pulsing. Pour into a mixing bowl.
  • Add cilantro, honey, chicken broth, salt and pepper. Stir. Refrigerate for an hour or so before serving.
  • The salsa should be fairly liquidy. You can add additional broth if necessary.
  • Serve over tacos and burritos.
  • NOTE: I much prefer to use Tupelo Honey in this recipe which does somewhat improve the flavor.

Very easy sauce to whip up. The kids love it. Great if you don't really like honey or have an allergy, since it doesn't even have honey in it.. Tastes wonderful and is nice and sticky! Use for chicken pieces, ribs, meatballs..anything you like.

4 minced garlic cloves
1 cup water
2 tablespoons soy sauce (enough to colour)

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Whisk to makes sure there aren't any lumps of sugar.
  • Pour over meats in a 9x13 casserole.
  • Bake in a 350 degree oven for an hour or until sauce is nice and gooey.
  • Enjoy!

1 (3/4 ounce) package dry yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
2 1/2 cups warm water (105Ã to 115Ã )
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup instant nonfat dry milk powder
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup whipping cream
1 cup maple syrup

Steps:

  • Waffles:.
  • Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm water in a large mixing bowl; let stand for 5 minutes.
  • Add the flour and next 5 ingredients; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until blended. Cover and chill 8 hours.
  • Bake in a preheated, oiled waffle iron. Serve with warm Dutch Honey.
  • Dutch Honey:.
  • Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan; bring just to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Yields 2 1/2 cups.
