These are so wonderful. Made with flavored gelatin mix, these grapes make a simple yet elegant treat. Serve in a pretty glass bowl at a party. Instant hit.

2 pounds red seedless grapes
1 (3 ounce) package cherry flavored Jell-O® mix

Steps:

  • Pluck grapes from their stems and rinse in a colander. Pour the gelatin mix onto a plate. Place grapes on the plate one handful at a time and roll around until coated. Transfer to a pretty dish and refrigerate for 1 hour to allow the gelatin to set.

My aunt gave me this recipe and I never thought I would try it because I'm not much of a grape eater. We needed something special for a function and I found this recipe. It got rave reviews, so I'm passing it along.

3 lbs seedless grapes, washed and stemmed
1/3 cup confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup Cointreau liqueur (or any orange flavored liqueur)
1 cup heavy cream, whipped

Steps:

  • Place grapes in a large bowl so you will have plenty of room to stir.
  • Sprinkle the confectioner's sugar over the grapes and stir until they are lightly coated.
  • In a small bowl, mix the lemon juice and Cointreau.
  • Stir the liquid mixture into the grapes.
  • Stir in the whipped cream and stir: continue to stir the mixture well every thirty minutes for 4 hours (keep the bowl in the refrigerator for the 4 hours and take it out only to stir well).

1 750-ml bottle dry white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc)
1/4 cup plus 3 tablespoons sugar
2 pounds red and/or green seedless grapes, cut into small clusters
1 tablespoon grated lemon peel

Steps:

  • Pour wine into large nonaluminum bowl. Add 1/4 cup sugar and stir until dissolved. Add grapes and peel; mix gently. Cover; chill at least 3 hours and up to 1 day.
  • Using slotted spoon, transfer grapes to shallow bowl. Sprinkle grapes with remaining 3 tablespoons sugar and serve.
