COPYCAT ZIPPY'S CHILI RECIPE - (3.6/5)

Steps:

• In a Dutch oven or large, heavy-bottomed pot, heat 2 teaspoons vegetable oil and brown beef; break up beef into its smallest components. Pour into bowl and reserve. Heat remaining vegetable oil and fry onion over medium heat, until limp and golden. Transfer beef to pot along with pureed tomato sauce, pinto beans, red kidney beans, chili powder, beef base, brown sugar and garlic salt. Bring to a boil, then turn heat down to medium or medium-low and simmer 15 minutes. Stir in mayonnaise and heat through. Taste and correct seasonings.

ZIPPY'S CHILI

Steps:

• Brown beef, onion and bacon – drain.
• In large pot combine beef mixture with rest of ingredients.
• Simmer at least 30 minutes.
• NOTE: I simmered for a couple hours…and of course it’s better the next day!

ZIPPY CHILI

Steps:

• In a large saucepan, cook beef and onion over medium heat until no longer pink.
• Add mushrooms, peppers and garlic, cook and stir 3 minutes, until vegetables are almost tender.
• Stir in water, tomatoes and taco seasoning.
• Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes.
• Add beans, simmer 30 minutes longer.
• Top with cheese to serve.

ZIPPY'S CHILI RECIPE

Steps:

• Brown the ground top round with onion. Add bacon. Then add the rest of the ingredients and simmer 30 minutes.

ZIPPY BEEF CHILI

Steps:

• In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink, breaking it into crumbles; drain. , Transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker. Add the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until heated through., Freeze option: Freeze cooled chili in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Heat through in a saucepan, stirring occasionally; add a little water if necessary.

ZIPPY WHITE CHILI

Steps:

• In a saucepan coated with cooking spray, saute chicken and onion until juices run clear; drain if desired. Stir in broth, chilies, garlic powder, oregano, cilantro and cayenne. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes. , Stir in beans; cook 10 minutes longer. Serve over tortilla chips if desired.
