Steps:
- Heat the olive oil in a Dutch oven or large wide pot over medium-high heat. Add the turkey, 1 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper and cook, breaking up any clumps with a wooden spoon, until brown, about 8 minutes. Remove the turkey and set aside. Add the garlic, celery, onion and 1/4 teaspoon salt to the pot and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables have softened, about 8 minutes. Add the chile powder and tomato paste and cook, stirring, 1 minute.
- Return the turkey to the pot and add the diced tomatoes, beans, green chiles and chicken broth. Increase the heat to medium-high and bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat and simmer until the vegetables are tender and the flavors have melded, about 30 minutes.
- Serve the chili topped with the cheese, sour cream and scallions.

I looked at the top 5 recipes on this site, combined my favorite ingredients from each, plus a few of my own (Sriracha®/adobe sauce) and...ta-da! A meaty, spicy, flavorful, turkey chili! You can quickly cook up the turkey and combine ingredients in slow cooker, throw in the fridge, and take it out to cook on low before you go to work - works perfectly, easy peasy! - Heat oil in a large (trust me, make it big) cast iron pot over medium heat. Add and brown the ground turkey, until cooked through. Add diced onion,bell pepper, celery and garlic, saute until tender, about 6-8 minutes. Add all the beans and chicken broth, canned diced tomatos (juice too!) green chilies, chili powder, cumin, and jalapeno (chopped) to that turkey mixture. Bring it to a slow bubble and then ruduce to a simmer for at least 30 minutes. Now add salt, pepper to taste. Cilantro goes in right before serving. Of course, this tastes better the next day and freezes really well.
QUICK AND SPICY TURKEY CHILI

- Heat the canola oil in a large skillet, preferably cast iron, on high heat. Add the ground turkey and saute until browned, about 3 minutes. Add the onion and garlic and continue cooking until the turkey is cooked through. Add the chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper and stir until evenly coated.
- Reduce the heat to medium low and add the canned tomatoes with juices (or sauce) and kidney beans and stir. Add the ketchup, salsa, tomato paste, and Sriracha stirring until well combined. Let simmer for at least 20 minutes. The longer it cooks, the spicier it will be.
- Serve over brown rice topped with Greek yogurt and shredded Monterey Jack cheese. Servings: 6

- In a skillet over medium heat heat oil for about 30 seconds or so.
- Add onions to skillet (if using celery stalks add the celery too), cook stirring for 5 minutes.
- Stir in garlic and cook stirring for another minute.
- Stir in oregano, celery seed, pepper, zest of the lime and cumin, and cook for another minute.
- Stir in cornmeal .
- Stir in chicken broth and cook until mixture boils (1 minute or so).
- Stir in tomatoes (with juice). Transfer mixture to crock pot.
- Stir in turkey, pinto beans and green beans. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours (or high for 4 hours).
- Combine chili powder and lime juice in a cup and add to crockpot along with bell peppers, green chilies and jalapeno. Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes.

SWEET & SPICY TURKEY CHILI
This is one of my favorite recipes. It was given to me by my aunt and I think of her and smile every time I make it. I recently tweaked the recipe to give it more protein with the addition of red kidney beans, quinoa & wheat berries. The chipotle pepper was my husband's contribution to give it more heat, but still let the intriguing sweetness come through. I love how my kitchen smells when I'm cooking this!
